Symptoms of hypertension or something else? Posted: 02-21-07 20:57pm
I recently have had 3 different episodes
of what seem to be fainting symptoms to
me. I have a sudden ringin in my ears, get
light headed, blurred vision, sweaty, and
slightly nausaus. Im wondering if I should
be concerned? I delivered my daughter
preemi due to a sudden onset of
preesclampsia by csection. My bps were
around 210/180-230/190. After my delivery
my blood pressure never returned to
normal, off medication it was running
about 190/130 so Im now on meds and its
been almost a year. Im wondering what
these new sypmtoms might be and if i
should be looking further into them? Thank
You

These new symptoms you describe (“sudden
ringing in my ears, getting light headed,
blurred vision, sweaty, and slightly
nauseous”) are very common and
not-conclusive. It is difficult to
identify if they are the result of a
worsening of the present condition
(hypertension) or something new. You may
consult your primary health provider for
further diagnostics.
