Trichomoniasis does not develop into HIV
or AIDS. People with Trichomoniasis are
at an increased risk of catching HIV/AIDs,
however. Trichomoniasis causes irritation
in the vagina. Your skin protects you
from infections and other nasty things.
If you have broken, irritated skin, all
kinds of nasty stuff can get through. So
if you have broken skin in your vagina, it
makes it easier for you to get something
like HIV/AIDs. All that means is that you
will have to be safe about sex, but really
everyone should be anyway!
Keep in mind that it is recommended that
you do not have sex until treatment is
over. Also, people often do not show
symptoms of Trichomoniasis, so if you are
still currently with the partner you got
it from, they should get tested too, even
if they have no symptoms. In the future,
male latex condoms will be your best bet
at avoiding reinfection.

Like Llewlleyn said, Trich cannot lead to
hiv or aids in a direct way. They are two
different diseases caused by different
things. Trich is a bacteria - which is why
you are on antibiotics - and hiv is a
virus, which is incurable by an
antibiotic.
However, as Llewlleyn also said, Trich can
make you more vulnerable to contract hiv.
If you are monagamous and know for sure,
via tests, that your partner does not have
hiv, then you don't have to worry.
