At my 10 week checkup I went to the doc
and had a pap test done. They said they
would call me if the lab results came back
with any abnormalities, and it did. My pap
test showed some abnormal cells which were
a mild case of HPV. I have to go in at 17
weeks to get a coloscopy ( sp?) and I am
kinda afraid. I wonder if any of you out
there have or had HPV while you were
pregnant and how it affected you.

hello i have hpv and im 18 weeks and you
shouldnt worry ~ if you have it with
warts, (mine is with out warts) they will
deleive the baby through c- section my
doctor said the baby should be fine and i
have to get a coloscopy in about 8 weeks
but they cant get any samples of the area
becasue it may cause bleeding and , so
that has to wait till after the baby! but
the baby should be fine dont worry, it
only affets you, and make sure after the
baby you always get your paps

I had a colposcopy at 11 weeks and it was
painless. I am now 12 weeks. I asked my
doctor if this would affect the baby and
he stated it wasn't an issue. I still plan
on doing research on this issue as the
doctor seemed to blow off my question.
This is a minor issue, nothing to worry
about. Stay positive
