Stressed

Okay this teething caca has me beyond
stressed out. Kaylee never acts like this.
I can't even leave the room to get a drink
& she's screaming. I have to be
holding her constantly & it's driving
me insane. I had to sleep on the couch
lastnight with her because the only way
she would sleep was if she was laying on
me. All she has done is whine & scream
& whine some more..No real tears at
all. Is it wrong for me to say I can't
wait for my mom to take her for the night
tonight? If it is I'm sorry because that
is how I feel.. I need a break before I
end up breaking. I feel awful when I hand
her over to .Shane when he gets home at
night which is what I've been doing the
past few nights, especially when she calms
right down when he is holding her. Makes
me feel like I am doing something wrong. I
have the worst headache right now. I just
tried for the last 2 hours to get her to
take a nap. So just now I made her a
bottle & she's eating & she's
going to end up falling asleep but as soon
as I put her down I know she's going to
cry. Don't get me wrong, I love my baby to
pieces & I love holding her but she
has been impossible to please lately. Her
infants motrin drops don't seem to be
working for caca, I can't get ahold of her
doctor to see if I can give her a little
more & the oragel sucks @ss unless I'm
not using enough. I just really can't wait
til my mom babysits tonight... I'm gonna
have a breakdown. I'm sitting here crying
now.. Someon please tell me I'm not losing
my mind!

I don't think we have tempra here ... I
wish I knew of something that would work
though. She's so miserable..

I figured that was the strongest I could
get
Yep I'm giving her the right dose, the doc
told me for her weight I can give her up
to the second line on the dropper which is
1.25 ml's.

u might want to take her to the doctor...
maybe its not her teeth as much as maybe
an ear infection or sore throat.

Yeah, I think I'm going to call the doc
& ask. But the only problem with that
is I don't have the car here until about
5ish & by then all the doc offices
would be closed. We could go to the .E.R.
if we had to tho... I don't know. She's
eating good, more than normal actually
& I didn't give her any of her sweet
potatoes today just to rule that out as
the problem. She's acting a little better
right now. When they have ear infections
what are some signs to watch for?

Since .oni started teething at 4 months,
she *always* tugged her ears, and jammed
her fingers in em. SHe would cut em up
with her fingernails.
SHe also pulls her hair.
I'v ebeen terrified about ear infections,
but she hasn't had one yet. ::Knocks on
wood::
As long as she's eating, and not running a
fever. THere's not much else you can do
besides .motrin and love.
It'll pass.
note: sweet potatoes can cause *severe*
gas in infants!! THat could very well be
the problem, hence when she slept
comfortably on her belly (on you).

That's all the doctor told me when I
called that as long as she doesn't have a
fever there isn't much I can do & if I
absolutely wanted to get her checked out I
could take her in but I have no vehicle
here to do so.
That would explain why she's been acting
better today since I haven't given her the
sweet potatoes...Poor girl, she was eating
them like a champ too that's why I kept
giving them to her

my son has had multiple ear infectoins
with no fever. in my opinoin i rather be
safe than sorry, and bring them in to get
checked out. if an ear infection goes
untreated, it can be bad news.

But, if she's acting better without the
sweet potatoes (that are known to
cause gas) THen I'm sure that's all it
was.
I'm the same way about"better to be safe
than sorry"..but if she's just
crying...and not tugging at her ears,
having a lessened appetite, avoiding
pressure on one side and other tell take
signs of an ear infections, I'm sure it's
just the sweet potaotes.

Thanks everyone. She's acting so much
better now! I haven't given her sweet
potatoes at all today. Does that mean that
I should completely stop giving them to
her or just very little bits at a time? Or
is that something I should talk to her doc
about?

if you think its sweet potatoes i would
wait with them for a while...her digestive
system might need to mature more and she
will probably be okay with them when she a
few months older.

Okay, thanks! I think I might have been
rushing it a little bit with the sweet
potatoes anyways so I've come to the
conclusion I'm just going to stick with
her cereal & when she's about 6 months
I will start up again on step 1 foods..
I'm not chancin it again with days like
the last few or having a sick baby
Thanks everyone!
