I've got some diced beef.
What can I make that is cheap and
cheerful.
We're out of $$$ until monday.
In the larder I've some baked beans,
tinned sweetcorn, chopped tomatoes and
some potatoes.
I've got stuff like flour and gravy mix
and a few herbs n spices.
any suggestions?

MMMMM...
this sounds *delicious*
CREAMED CHIPPED BEEF AND VEGETABLES
1 cup water
1 tbsp. butter
1 pkg. (8-oz.) frozen mixed vegetables
with onion sauce
1 tbsp. finely diced onion
1 jar (2 1/2-oz.) chipped beef, rinsed in
cold water
In saucepan, place water, butter, the
vegetables and onion. Cover and bring to a
full boil over high heat. Remove from
heat; stir until sauce is smooth. Add the
chipped beef. Heat. Serve over corn bread
squares, split, or corn sticks.
Makes 4 servings.

ambient storage for non perishables.
ie not chilled or anything.
some people have a small "room" they call
a larder.
We just have a larder cupboard.
it tends to have stuff like sauces,
condiments, packets, tins, jars etc.

You could do shephards pie, usually it
calls for ground beef, but I think diced
or chipped beef would be fine.
I actually use canned beans in my
shephards pie in place of the canned corn.
It makes it a bit more hearty.
