This is my first post on this forum. I've
tried others, but I never get any replies.
So, here's my problem. My period has been
acting crazy for the past couple months
and I'm not sure why. In Dec. my period
was about 5 days late. In Jan. it came 3
days early. Now it's Feb. and my period
came late again. It started on the 6th and
ended on the 10th. Then on Feb. 20th I
started bleeding again and I'm still
bleeding. So this period is really early.
I'm 20 years old. I am sexually active
with just my husband and not on any birth
control. I can't get to a dr right now
because my medicaid got taken away and I
have no other insurance so any advice
woould be appreciated. Thanks.

not to worry, many girls have irregular
periods, including me. i was supposed to
start sunday and i haven't yet. if you are
having any abdominal pain or pressure, you
could have a cyst. ovarian cysts can cause
you to have an irregular period. if you
have pain, you should see a doctor. other
than that, i think you are fine. but i'm
not a doctor! do what you need to.

Were you on birth control before and then
stopped? That can cause an irregular
period. I also had irregular periods when
I stopped taking bc or when I wasn't on
any at all. However you are running the
risk of pregnancy if you are having sex
with out any birth control...although I
don't think that is the case at the
moment.
OOpppps forgot to add.....
Can you visit your local planned
parenthood for reduced cost or free birth
control? I know you can do that in the
state of wisconsin.
