Posted: 02-25-07 19:21pm

hey!! Well me chad and chads dad went to the pool and took him swimming in his swimmers and trunks..we went to the kiddie pool where it was kinda chilly and he liked it a bit, but then when kids would jump and splash he got upset i felt so bad lol poor guy was scared, and cold, so we asked the lifeguard if the hot tub was too hot for him ( they have 2 hot tubs) and one of them she said babies go in al lthe time, so we took him in there and he had a BLAST! he absolutly loved it! he was basically floating all by himself and stuff it was awesome! had soo muich fun! So we're taking him again tuesday! Anyways, thought id just share my experience lol im so excited he loves it! Smile No crying at all yay!!! ttyl! (L)

not to be a downer, but i don't think you should be bringing him into the hot tub. they're usually kept above 100 degrees and that's too hot for a baby and they can't regulate their body temp like adults.

use your own judgement but please be careful!

i know we've got a couple hot tubs around here that they call "swirl pools" they aren't hot hot but they're just nice and warm. i'm sure if the lifeguard said it was safe for babies then they would know right? i've seen babies in the swirl pools many times.

The lifeguard didn't actually say it was safe for babies, he/she said babies went in there all the time.

the lifeguard went to go ask someone like who knew about that kind of stuff and said it was fine, the temperature wasn't as hot as the other hot tub at all, the other one is like his bath temperature

well wouldn't u think that if it wasn't safe for babies, they wouldn't let them go in there all the time? the lifeguards around here said they have no problem with it. it's perfectly safe.

ok, these mildly hot "swirl pools" are fine for babies. (i've never heard of these.)

hot tubs/jacuzzis are not.
