how long before the depo shot is totally out of my system. i was suppose to get my next shot on march 6. i dont like the way its made me feel so i am not getting on it again.

can be as long as 18 months or more for some people.

did you only have the one?
in theory it is gone within 12-16 weeks as far as covering you for birth control is concerned.
however many women are finding that it can take considerable time to clear the system and get back to normal.

oh ok....i was just wondering like when i wont be hungry all the time. i still feel like some days i am still eating like i am pregnant cause i feel hungry all the time.and when the moodswings will stop.

Like Kia said, up to 18 months. I should think it will be considerably less.

dang it can take up to 18 months for the depo shot totally get out of my system from just 1 shot.

Chase-

You can still become pregnant, so even though the side effects linger, do not count on the depo for birth control.

MOST women notice that their mood swings, increased hunger, hair loss/excessive hair, will diminish in about 3-6 months.

It's not just becaues of one shot it generally takes that long beacuse many women have been on the shot for months or years.
