Sorry Vanessa - hijaking the thread for a
moment.
Yep, my hubby is pretty tall. His whole
family is gigantic and my family is short.
Our wedding pictures looked really funny.
We are not a "cute" couple because we look
so very different.

I have never heard about being induced at
9 pounds. It could be what a specific
doctor does but I don't think it's
generally practiced. You were induced 2
weeks early and weighed that much??? Wow.
I heard that it is pretty difficult to be
exact on the weight via ultrasound.

maybe if you're over your due date and the
baby is measuring 9+ pounds they'd induce.
i've never heard of it though, especially
since the measurement can be off by 2
pounds either way. i don't think they'd
want a 7 pound baby coming out before it's
ready, right? 7 pounds is a good size but
not reason to induce, you know?
i had a scan the day before my induction
and they told me if he was 10 pounds+ i
could opt for a c-section. he ended up
measuring 9 1/2 pounds but was really only
8lbs 5oz. i wish he'd measured 10 though
so i could've had the c-section i ended up
with anyway without having to go through
the 14 hours of labor first.

ahhh man.. 14 hours and then a c section
!! I wouldnt wish that on anyone... Maybe
it was to get a C section.. You know how
it goes..Ever woman you meet has there
experiances with doctors.. A friend of
mine was just telling me about several
girls she knew that that had happened
to(all our husbands are in the military
and the military doctors can.. sometimes
kinda suck).. Id really rather not have to
be induced for fear of a long labor..
Luckily I get the have the baby at a
civilian hospital though which im happy
about.
