Irregular Bleeding/late Period Posted: 02-26-07 13:25pm
hya, im 27 and in a stable relationiship
and im not on any birth control and have a
regular 31 day cycle. my last period was
jan 17th 07 and my bf and i had sex 3
times over the course of about a week and
a half... about two weeks after my period
i spotting for about an hour and back ache
which lasted all afternoon and all
night...then a week later i had two tiny
pin pricks of blood on the t/p when i
wiped (tmi i know but ive never had this
b4 so bare with me!!!)... my first thought
was "oh im preggnant and ive had
implantation spotting" (which isnt a bad
thing as we arent officially trying but
arent preventing it either)... so i waited
until 3 days before my period and
tested..it was neg... so i did one 2 days
before, the day before, on the day, the
day after...you get the drift... i have
done 7 different tests all with first
morning urine and they have ALL been
negative... i am now 9 days late i have
breats swelling and stomach bloating and
no period... i have been pregnant before
and a week before i was due i just "knew"
and it turned out true... i have nothing
stressfull going on in my life... i have
not my changed diet or increased excercise
im at a loss...has anyone had this happen
to them before? any reply welcome as i am
baffled...

My last period was about 2 weeks late, I
have an IUD tho but its usually pretty
regular as far as knowing when its comin
give or take maybe a day or so........So
my first reaction was I might be preg, I
even felt a little funny and kinda weird
so I waited a few days after it was
suppost to start and took a 2 preg test
within a few days time and both were neg
and I too had no changes in stress and so
forth.......but it did start...late but it
did come.......IMO a womens body tends to
sometimes have a mind of its own lol if u
know what I mean........Some people skip
periods for some reason idk tho.........Id
prob give it about another week and take
another test and see how it turns out
then.....

When was the last time you tested? I was
over a week late before I had a positive
test with my first pregnancy so maybe
there just wasn't enough hcg to register
on the tests?
That being said I'd honestly say the best
thing would be to go to your doctor, ask
for a blood pregnancy test and if it's
still negative then they'll be able to
start investigating the reasons for this.

thanks for the reply's guys... i last
tested at i think tue which would be
around 3 days late....im just a little
baffled as to why the tests would register
neg if i was pregnant because i had the
bleeding??.... i might try and give it
until next month and see if i have my
period.... or like first reply says maybe
ill start late...how come its always women
who have the most going on in life ... men
have it soooooooooooo easy.... i might
also do another test this week just to
definatly make sure if i am or not.

So true
I'd definately say to do another test if
it's been six days since the last one,
when I tested after a few days of being
late it was negative, no reason except
clearly the test I used wasn't sensitive
enough to register the amount of hcg I had
until later on that week!
