what?!?

you do your thing, i'll do mine. i see it as "everything in moderation", i'm going to do the same thing with candy and other things he won't be having on a regular basis. i will *never* give him soda though.

exactly.

you cant tell a child they cant be a child.

Mcdonalds=kids.

Jacob eats mcdonalds fries about, oh once a week? ITs not killing him.

Nor will it ever.

Like .Bridgett said.. moderation is key. If you keep things like that away from a child, they will no doubt rebell when old enough and eat more than they would have if you'd taught them enough is enough.

Hey did you guys ever see that episode of trading places where the family were vegan and the new mom came in and gave them meat? If I was the real mom I would've been ticked but the kids turned into crazy little carnivores after that! And they cried when their mom came back and said that they couldn't have any more meat. The husband was upset too, he said it had been decades since he'd last had a burger... I couldn't stop laughing...

Ya know...I don't think there is a problem with a hamburger and apple dippers(slices of apples that come with caramel sauce). I'd prefer to give .oni that, over fries.

Chicken nugets are okay, but again, it's fried. SO how okay can they be??

Reguardless of how much "we eat them, and we're fine" anyone says, no amount of fast food is good for you. Period.

Fresh veggies and fruits should be chosen over fast food. But, as .americans, we opt for "fast" food.

People/children are gonna do, eventually, what they want to do. But I'll be damned if I just sit back and let my 1 year old scarf fries on a daily, or even weekly basis. I won't go down without a fight, I should say! lol!

i disagree. i just gave an example of my friends who were raised on all healthy organics. they know what is good for them, and they have no desir to put that crap in their body.

"its not killing him"

fast food *IS* a silent, slow killer.

who's to say it wont if he grows up to be a diabetic/or heart problems and the doctor tells him no more fast food crap, and he cant help himself because that is what he is used to.

whos to say he wont ever get a fast food meal thats contaminated with ecoli or god knows what else and gets sick and die?

personally i dont see why anyone would *want* that crap in their childs body.

there was just an ecoli outbreak from fresh spinach.

it's not only found in fast food.

i think this is irrelivent(sp?) because you can get contaminated food anywhere, not just fast food.

imo,I wont give my child fast food until they are a bit older and liek .b said, give itt o them every once in a while.

I grew up eating only fresh foods. A lot of them were grown in my mum's garden. She's a luziana farm girl at heart! Lol! and when I got old enough to choose where I could eat I overloaded on fast food because it was such a novelty. Now that I'm grown I prefer real food again. But those late high school/early college years were filled with french fries, burgers, fried chicken and nachos. Embarassed Ahhhh well, I still enjoy mcdonald's fries every now and again. I don't think mcdonald's twice or three times a year will kill anyone. and honestly i'd rather eat it than nasty foul pizza! pizza is gross.

if anyone wants to start an anti pizza campaign I'll join in!

no you dont get contaminated food anywhere. my dad grows his own garden and nothing there would be contaminated. i shop at whole foods when i can it is very unlikey anything there would be contaminated. even any grocery store, is very unlikely that anything would be contaminated.
it is *very* likely to get contaminated fast food. there are plenty of news reports on contaminated fast food, and im sure there are a ton more cases that never even made it to the news.
the fact of the matter is lots of young kids work fast food places and they simply dont wash their hands after they take a caca.
all i have to say is picture a mexican guy taking a caca in your kids taco bell, cause that is exactly what happened in my area.
why would you even want to chance it?
im not saying your kids wont ever eat fast food, what im saying is that while they are super young and you have control over what goes in their bodies, why would you choose to give them fried, greasy, nasty caca that could possibly be contaminated?
