Right Ear Pain
Posted: 02-26-07 17:43pm

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I have had for a long time a stabbing pain in my right ear that comes and goes. I have seen all kinds of doctors and none of them has found what is wrong. It happens at night if I lay on my right side. It also happens if I am out in a cool breeze. I have had tubes inserted twice to no avail. I take flexeril to sleep at night quite a lot. I also have migraines and once in a while when I have a ear ache and take an Imitrex the ear pain goes away also. The dentist says I do not have TMJ. I'm wondering if there is a doctor out there somewhere who can diagnose my problem. Warm compresses or a heating pad do not help much if at all. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Rich Smile

Flexeril can cause 'head pressure' in high doses. Maybe try lowering your dose of it to see if that helps relieve some of the pain.

That's all I know though. Good luck with the rest.
