What Happened...

I know a bunch of you are wondering what
happened concerning .black.girl.
Ok...let's see if I can get through
this...
FOr the past couple of weeks/months,
she's(my dog) has been getting more and
more over protective.
The last straw was on .friday night. I was
hugging her(my dog) and .jathan came up
and rested his head on hers. WHen he did
that she growled at him. ANd not just a
little growl, a growl that scared me half
to death.
So much so, that I pushed .jathan back, in
fear that my dog would actually lunge if
he didn't get off in time.
WHen I pushed him, he tripped over .nana
.boo & she fell and bumped her head.
I was so enraged at what .black.girl had
done, that I went outside and beat her. I
then told .baron to bring her to the
.a.s.p.c.a. I didn't want her anymore.
SO the next morning, he had to bring her
and act like he didn't know her.(it costs
money to voluntarrily put your animal
down) SHe tried to run to him as he was
putting her in the pen and she had to push
her & slam the gate in her face.
In the past, she's growled at little kids,
but only if they grabbed her around the
neck, or got too rough with her.
This is the reason why we sent her. I
couldn't take that chance of her actually
*biting* a lil kid.
I love these kids more than I'll ever love
a dog.
I'm grieving more for .black.girl's
sister, .sugar.
She's so lonely. I cry everytime I look at
her. I cry everytime I go in the back
yard. I cry washing the dishes. I cry
changing .oni's diaper. I just keep
crying. I physically can't control it.
I don't want .oni to keep seeing me like
this, but I can't control it. I don't want
.sugar to feel like she's the only one
grieving. The whole pack is suffering.
I'm not gonna be able to be on here much.
It's so hard for me to function for .oni,
I need all the energy I can give her.
I know that with time, it'll get better. I
just can't see it happening.

i'm so sorry, sarah. you did what you had
to do though and you knew better than to
risk keeping her and waiting until
something actually *did* happen.

Oh my .god, .sarah. I'm so sorry.
You're such a strong person for putting
the little ones' safety first. That right
there is more than a lot of other people
do. If she would have turned on one of the
kids and hurt them, you would have carried
that guilt for a very long time. You did
the right thing, babe.
But .i'm so sorry you had to give her up.
It must be heartbreaking for your family.
We're here if you need us, love.

Girl, you know I'm with you. I understand
exactly how hard it is to lose a dog
(voluntarily or otherwise). I didn't do
well at all. I cried and cried and cried.
I'd be at work and just break down and
cry. It does get easier but you're still
going to have times years down the road
when you break down and cry. It's like
losing a child.
I don't understand why she had to be put
down though. Don't you have animal
shelters where she can be adopted out.
She'd just have to go to a home with no
children. Did you call the vet to make
sure it wasn't a medical issue. That
happened with my cairn terrier mix once.
dietary issues made her overly aggressive.
with a modified diet she lost all
aggression except her dog aggression
*edited because I reread and this sounds a
little accusatory* I'm not trying to
accuse, I'm just trying to find out if I
missed why she had to be put down...

THanks ladies.
We know we did the right thing. It's just
a horrible feeling. It's like I gave up my
child! We had her for 3
years, and her and .sugar have *never*
been seperated.
I wouldn't be able to live with myself,
had we kept her and one day she bit .oni,
or .jathan, or lil .logan. I would never
be able to look at them.
To boot, .oni has been acting out horribly
lately. She's smacking, she's crying,
she's just being angry in general.
I know it's because I spend 75% of my day
crying, I just can't help it. I'm so sad.
I've never lost a pet, let alone had to
give one up. It's something that I
wouldn't wish on any person. Friend or
foe.
Ok, Imma go lay with .sugar &
.oni....and yea...probably cry.

We thought about that. But her temperment
was getting worse and worse. She was
growling at everyone and had no respect
for me or .baron.
I feel like i have to vomit now.
I feel so guilty for taking .sugar's only
friend away from her. I feel guilty in
general.
ok, really, I gotta go now....

to lose a dog.I had to get rid of a dog I
had before whitney.
I almost had to get rid of whitney.Ever
since she bit my sister she has been
watching her.i got her all excited when I
came home the other night and when I went
in the house I sauid "lets go get it" and
ran in the kitchen to get her a
treat.instead she went after .bethany and
she wasn't even doing anything.Soon i'm

babe i know how hard it is to put down a
dog that you loved.
We hada chow that was so mean to everyone
but me when i was younger. He
growled, barked, lunged at everyone else.
I was the only one that could interact
with him. Then my dad came home early from
work one day and saw the pound in our
neighborhood ( i guess looking for stray
animals) and he told the guy to come get
him.
I cried for like, 2 weeks after that.
Then when i was a teenager, i went to live
with .Kelly and my parents gave away my
.SPitz and her puppies behind my back. Man
i was pisssssssed.
So trust me, i know what its like.
*~*hugz*~*
we're all here for you, hun.

I'm so sorry .Sarah, i really am. I'm
sure that she is with you all in spirit
and understands why you did what you did.
You did the right thing, you potentially
saved a child's life so don't beat
yourself up.
Big hugs.
Jules.

Aw, .sarah I'm so sorry you feel this way.
You did the right thing, even tho we love
our pets (they're family!) our own flesh
and blood come first, and you realize
that, therefore you did what you had to
do. You know I'm here if you ever
want/need to talk about it. *hugs* I hope
you feel better soon!

hey sarah, if it helps any (which i doubt
it does but meh) your not alone, i just
found out today that my snake (which my
brothers ex stole from me) died on
saterday, his head was crushed under his
water dish, thankfully i have a friend
over there and she told me about it, my
brothers ex told her not to tell me
(probably cause she did it on purpose to
get back at us for not doing everything
she wants us to do) she claims her other
snake did it (which is pretty much
imposible) and that she buried him in the
back yard but theres no freshly dug up
dirt there so i know shes lieing....god
ive been pissed off and crying ever since
i found out, im shaking so hard right now
and just about to start crying again now
ps. sorry for stealing your tread and
posting my stupid rant

Alicia, i don't know if this makes it any
better for you but is it possible your
snake isn't dead? Might they have given
it away or sold it and are lying to you?
