37wk Appointment!
Posted: 02-27-07 12:59pm

hey guys! i had my 37wk appointment this morning.
all is just fine. he's settled lower into my pelvis,
his heartbeat is strong, .i'm still measuring good.

i asked her to check to see if i was dilated at all..

&....

i am!

but only 1cm! hahaha.
she said .i'm about 20-30% effaced.
& .she poked his little head.
so he's right there!

yay!

i go back in a week, of course.

Wink

yea...if you make it!!!

I had a baby on the 1st day of my 37th week!!! It could be any day now!!!! Let him cook more!

I'd hate if you got the disappointment like I did. I was huge, and she was tiny.
If she had stayed in 2/3 more weeks, I would have felt a whole lot better about my stretchies!!

Reguardless, he'll be healthy!! I can't wait to seee hiiiiim!!

It will induce labor. Actually, semen should induce labor.

It had me contracting less that 8 hours later...and with child about 12 hours later...

Krissy, don't do it! Let him cooook!!

Ok, well then if it "might" induce it, why would you push it so much? You know there's a large chance that it will induce labor, yet you're still cheering her on?

I'm not sure if .krissy wants him to be out, but I sure wouldn't tell her things to get him out sooner. I believe in letting a baby "come out when he's ready." & if I would have known semen would have that great a chance to induce labor, I sure as hell would not have let him come in me. Period.

SO don't come at me with that "he'll come when he's ready" b/s when you're over there cheering her to do something that *will* induce labor if done enough...

Rolling Eyes sarah i have seen where you have told different people that sex will cause them to go into labor. if thats the case then she should not do any walking or eat anything spicy. did the dr tell you without a doubt that sex caused you to go into labor?you dont know if it did it could have just been the time for her to come. but you have said countless times sex will cause you to go in labor than why did i dont go into labor at 38 weeks when i had sex and he cam in me.hmmmmmmmm cause it was not time.oh and by the way i had sex plenty ar 38 weeks and it did not start labor.

i had sex right up until the night before my induction, obviously it didn't send me into labor.

i'm a member of another forum with a lot more members than here and many of them had sex leading up to their due dates without it inducing labor.

i honestly think it's a coincidence if you have sex and then go into labor soon after.
