My mother, aged 49 was diagnosed with
breast cancer today.
I am typing out the doctors description of
the case...please provide me with
professional opinion and the seriousness
of the condition...

FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION -CYT
Nature of specimen: FNAC Breast
Apiration cytology: AC 29-07
GORSS OBSERVATION: Aspirated blood tinged
material from a hard mass in left breast
at 12 o clock position subareolar ms 3x3
cm in size.
MICROSCOPIC Observation: Smears show a
high cell yeild. There are irregular loose
aggregates of atypical epithelial cells
and also scattered singly. The cells are
highly pleomorphic with nuclear enlargment
irregular nuclear contour, hyperchorimasia
and coarse clumped chromatin with
nucleoli. The nuclear cyptoplasmic ratio
is altered. The cytoplasm is variable. The
background shows neutrophililc
infiltration.
Impression: Aspirates from mass in left
reast showing features consistent with
carcinoma.
Please give an opinion on what i should do
next...any help or reply will be greatly
appreciated...
