I love .alexis, but it's one of those
names that's super-trendy right now. Your
baby will have a handful of them in every
class she attends. Try to keep that in
mind.
Selene is pretty, but I don't care for it.

I'm with you 100% - I wanted a strong name
for a son and a feminine pretty name for a
daughter. We found out it was a girl and
settled on .alyvia. I won't get into my
reasons for changing it from .Olivia, so
.i'll just say that we're very pleased
with her name, we get complimented on it
all the time, and she won't have a
thousand of them in her classrooms.

I'm not too fond of the name .Selene. I
agree, it sounds like there is something
missing from it. I do like .Alexis, but
as mentioned already, it is a quite
popular name right now. But just
remember, this is your daughter too, and
you should have a say in her name. If you
don't like it, don't go with it.

this is *your* baby, pick a name you love
and tell them that's the name you chose.
too bad if they don't like it, they
already had their chances to name their
children.

And even if they hate it now, they'll
probably grow to love it after she's born.
Or, if all else fails, they'll call her by
a nickname.

The right name will come to you when it's
time. In the meantime though, there are
thousands of websites out there and tons
of baby name books you can buy. Good luck
in your name hunt!!! Luckily, my husband
and I were able to agree on names fairly
easily. I'm only 15 weeks along, so we
don't know what we are having yet, but we
have a name picked out for boy or girl!

hmmmm selene no because it looks like it's
spelled wrong and sounds like you didn't
finish the word.
however, selina - I love
how about selené which is kinda their
spelling but pronounced selina as in
helené
