seriously... all the only children i know
have some sort of issues. from my
experience at least. they seem socially
awkward, and seem to have issues relating
to other people. one example, the boy i
dated for 2 years was an only child and he
was one funny kid, and i really think
being an "only" was responsible in a huge
way for his personality. he didn't know
how to act around people, and he never had
to defend himself to brothers and sisters
so he didn't know how to do it when it
came to kids on the play ground. i have
one sister but i always wished i had a
bigger family. i only have 2 cousins on
my mom's side and 3 on my dad's and they
are all in south africa, so i never get to
have big family get togethers for
christmas and junk. i would love to have
a huge family. i love having a sister, i
couldn't imagine it any other way. i feel
bad because i can't have any more babies
for a long time, and i don't want rowan to
get "only child syndrome". i don't want
to offend anyone, but all the only
children i know seem to have the same
issues.
edit * i don't really want anymore kids.
i never really wanted any to start. but
i'm going to have more for rowan's sake,
and because now i know i like being a
mommy. i never though i would.

Tanya, I'm an only child, but my
surroundings were filled with kids. I
lived in a local housing project, and my
life was filled with double dutch &
cold cups!! Hahahaha!!
I had a lonely chilhood, only when my
parents fought. If I could have ahd
someone to talk to, my personality might
not be what it is today. In a way I was
mad at my parents for not giving me a
sibling.
But when I look back in hind sight, I
realize that the reason they didn't have
more kids, is because they didn't love
each other enough anymore. They didn't
want to expose any more precious innocent
children to the wrath I had
experienced...that, and we were dirt poor.
WIth 2 kids, we would have been in a
shelter.
On the kids issue, the number of children
I have depends on what the sex of my mext
child is. If I have a boy, I'll be good
for a while. If I Have another girl, I
won't be taking a break till I get that
boy.
Yes, even if we have 6 girls before we
have that boy. We've *got* to have a
.baron the 5th before we die. It's a
*must*!!
