If you've seen my recent post about
wondering if I had herpes or not, I was
told that it's normal to have pimples near
the hair that i shave, but i just noticed
that there are some like at the upper end
of my shaft where there is no hair to
shave. Could it still be pimples?
Also I found out that my girlfriend went
to the doctor's today to get STD shots,
and it isn't her first time. But she tells
me not to worry, she doesn't have any
STDs. Is that true? Can people get shots
for STDs if they dont have them? If not,
what STD's need shots and how can you get
those STDs? I am very worried.
Thank you very much

It could still be a pimple even if there
appears to be no hair there. After all,
girls get pimples on their faces even
though there isn't really any hair there.
We still have tiny hair follicles and
pores that can get clogged over our whole
body even if you don't see any hair
there.
It is possible that she is getting a
vaccine then. I do not know a whole lot
about STD vaccines, but I believe the FDA
approved an HPV vaccine about a year and a
half ago.
I understand why you would be curious,
confused, and concerned, but why not ask
her? She would know exactly what she is
getting shot for and why better than we
would. Communication is pretty important
in relationships, especially when you're
dealing with sex and possible STDs. Some
of that can be life or death stuff. If
she tells you exactly what she is getting
and why, then you could even ask her to
bring home a pamphlet from the doctor or
look it up on the internet if you want to
know more about it.

There is a new vaccine out for women to
prevent a certain HPV that can lead to
cervical cancer. Ask her what it's for
specifically.

About 75-80% of the population will have
HPV.Most people show no symptoms.Men are
often carriers of the virus with no
symtoms(there is currently no test for hpv
in men). There is over 100 types of hpv.
The shot that your girlfriend is getting
is the vaccine to prevent the HPV strains
that could give her cervical cancer. The
company that made the vaccine avaliable is
Merrick.
Google HPV+Merrick+vaccine
The fact that she is getting this vaccine
should make you happy!
