I get those looks at 23.... I think it's because I look so young. But then again, they can shove it where the sun don't shine.

Well when you're young and your period isn't very reliable it doesn't matter what kind of birth control you're on, you're still going to be nervous and worry about being pregnant. A lot of these girls probably ARE using at least one form of birth control, but still scared of pregnancy. Nothing like the fear of having to tell your parents you're pregnant and in highschool. Obviously I suggest that people use birth control if they don't want to get pregnant. But I don't think that being intimidated by the thought of purchasing a pregnancy test means that they are immature. I think that it's a legitimate fear. I'm not trying to place judgement on anyone, but I definitely remember how it felt and I definitely sympathize. When I was 17/18/19 I was on birth control, yet still feared that I was pregnant every once in a while. It wasn't because I was being realistic, it was because I was so fearful of my parents. I think that that's what's probably going on with a lot of people on here. They're just looking for some answers, for some first hand knowledge.

but no one should fear pregnancy on birth control...
you have a 99% chance...
and usually birth control makes your periods more regular...

I've actually had two friends get pregnant while on birth control. And they were using it correctly. I have a friend who is the result of sex on birth control. His parents used condoms AND bc, and wound up with 4 children. It happens. Nothing but abstinence is fool proof.

im not saying it doesn't
but the reason you get on birth control is to ease your mind
atleast that's why i did it....

if it was fool proof it would say 100%
