Your mom collects gnomes? That's
different. My mom collects crystal
figurines and tea cups. I collect dolls
and apple themed stuff (I'm a country girl
at heart).

One of my favorite parts of the Sims game
was kicking gnomes.

I have a neighbor that has them all over
her yard and thankfully I don't have to
walk past her house often. I'm not afraid
of them, like people have fear of snakes,
spiders, and butterflies? , but they creep me
out.

We were at a butterfly exibit in .texas
once, and I was attacked by a butterfly.
It flew right at my face, and I screamed
sooooo loud. I kept myself from swatting
at it (they're so pretty! and I didn't
want to hurt it!) but everyone turned and
looked at me and I felt like such a fool.
My husband teased me for months after
that.

Gah! Don't get me started. I hate worms
too. I hate rainy days because they're
all over the sidewalk. They give me the
creeps and send shivers down my spine. I
usually end up vomiting if I look at the
ground and keep seeing them so I don't
look at the ground when it rains....

I am afraid of sheep.
Moths too, or just butterflies?
I worked with a boy who ate worms, we
would dig them to take the kids fishing
and the kid would get into our bucket and
eat every last one.

Moths are even worse. I'll have heart
palpitations. I have cedar all over my
house so I don't ever have to see one...

I am deathly afraid of sharks. I won't go
into any open body of water. Small
man-made lakes, rivers, oceans.... if it's
not a swimming pool or a hot tub, I won't
go near it.
We were at an aquarium (same place as the
butterfly exhibit, I think) and they had
this tunnel you could go through where the
tank was above your head and on both
sides. I was halfway through when I saw
sharks in there. Above and on my left,
swimming around. I had a panic attack and
fell to the ground. Aaron had to carry me
out because I couldn't walk. I was like 3
months pregnant too.
I have nightmares about being stranded in
open water. Ugggggh.

In one of my cultures (I'm not even sure
which one, might be haitian since they're
so superstitious but then again so are
dominicans... )
there's a belief that when you're that
scared of something you should pay
attention because it's either a memory of
a death (your own or an ancestors) or the
way you will die. I'm crazy afraid of
heights. Panic attack and vomit scared of
heights. That's a warning I pay serious
attention to...

so it's possible
that either myself in a past life or one
of my ancestors was attacked by a shark?
Or that maybe I will be in the future? Oh
.god. They need one of these ->
<- but green. I think I turned green
just now.
Kay darling, what is your book about? And
if it's picked up, will you be
autographing copies?
