The poor boy has been thru *so* much the last week.

Friday he went to he doc and had a bad ear infection so they put him on omnicef, which gave him horrrrrrrible diarrhea. Then monday night, he decided to take a headfirst dive out of the shopping kart at walmart... strait onto his noggin. He cried for a minute then was fine.

So Tuesday we took him to the doctor to make sure there were no cuncussions and such. which there wasn't. BUt they changed his antibiotic for his ears to .Septra to stop his diarrhea.

Well, this morning he started running a *high* fever... i mean 104 high. We gave him tylenol, a cool bath, it went away. Around 3:30 this afternoon it came back.. took him *back* to the doctor, they gave him motrin, didnt help it. DOc said he has a virus, gave him some .Ceron .D.M drops for his congestion and sneezing, and let us on our way.

Well, while we were out to dinner with my parents, .Jacob started having tremors. He was like, trembling, shaking so much he was terrifying me. SO i wrapped him up in my sweater and it eventually stopped. We gave him some tylenol, and after 45 minutes it wasnt making the fever go down so we left for the .E.R.

Well then his fever went away.

And we were told we had a 12 hour wait.

Minimum.

So we're home. Going to go back in the morning.

Get this..
there was a lady there that had been brought in by ambulance with severe chest pains that was in the lobby waiting to be seen by a doctor, and had been there for 3 hours before we got there.

Im not keeping .Jacob there all night being sick.
YOu'd think they'd take him back asap since he had a head injury and a fever.

but no.

We actually went to the Minute Clinic its in all of the cvs's in my area. You might want to look into something like that. The nurse was great, it was cheap and to like 10 minutes to get all the prescriptions we needed. We should be better before to long.

The actual place is called Lockhart. It is were pinehills apopka and altamonte springs meet. I went to the one In front of Costco on forest city rd (434). It costs $49 if you dont have insurance. They didn't accept mine, but they are running a copay promotion and I only had to pay $20. They are open from 8 to 8. mon thru fri. I know they are open on Sat , but i don't know the hours.

MinuteClinic provides diagnosis and treatment for common family ailments, like strep throat, ear, eye, bladder and sinus infections, bronchitis and minor skin infections. MinuteClinic also offers common vaccinations including flu vaccination.

* No appointment needed, 15-minute services
* Located in select CVS/pharmacy stores
* Open seven days a week: M-F, 8am-8pm; Sat & Sun, 10am-4pm
* Staffed by certified family nurse practitioners and physician assistants
* Prescriptions written when clinically appropriate
* In-network with most insurance companies; most services cost either an office visit co-pay or $49-$59

Please visit minuteclinic.com or call 1-866-389-ASAP (2727).

This is all the info I can find on it. If you go to their web site (or the cvs web site) and put in your zip it should tell you were the nearest one is to you.

yeah my dad grew up in lockhart! I know exactly where its at. ITs such a rural little town lol but its quaint and cute.

I'll have to look into MinuteClinic. We've been taking the kids to Centra Care or NIghtlight lately since the closest doctor appt we can getwas march 16th at their pediatrician. Evil or

that same thing happened with my sisters son he is 14 mths but she was on aplane on her way to florida from washington. Her sons fever got so high he had a siezure on the airplane. but they got rushed off by ambulance to a hospital in georgia. Turns out he had a double ear infection. so i know that thats gotta suck. her sons fever was at 104 too. thats why u gotta watch, imsuprised that ER didnt see em sooner. i would start finding a different ER. there is never anyone at the ER around here everytime ive been lol, I wonder what it takes to have u seen asap? high fevers can cause siezure, seizures can cause brain damage. and the lady with chest pains, man if she woulda had a heartattack out there i woulda sued lol. most hospitals see you right away if u say chest pain . hope hes feeling better though Smile i havent had internet for almost 2 days . BUt hope he gets better soon if hes still sick.
