Alyvia woke up this morning and one of her
eyelids is slightly puffy. It won't open
as completely as the other, which kind of
gives her a .O_o look. The eye itself
isn't pink or bloodshot or anything, and
it doesn't seem to be bothering her. I
didn't think much of it until my husband
came home for lunch and said something
about it. It hasn't really improved since
we woke up.
I don't want to take her to the doctor if
it's nothing, but if it gets worse...
tomorrow's .saturday and I don't think
.i'd have any other option but to take her
to the .e.r...
It sounds like nothing, right?
***update***
*sigh* her eye looks fine now, but she's
running a low-grade fever. She had an
axillary temp of 38.2 c (100.76 f) so we
gave her some .tylenol. She doesn't feel
quite as warm now, so .i'm wondering if
part of that was her curled up against us.
She seems only slightly fussy, so .i'm
going to keep an eye on her. I checked her
gums and none of them are bulging or
hemorrhaging, so...
I hate this. I'm not used to her being
hurt or sick. She's always been healthy.

Maybe she just slept on it wrong and that
made it puffy. I would say as long as
there is no discharge and it isn't
bothering her than it's probably fine.
Maybe if she'll allow it, try to take a
peek at it to make sure she doesn't have a
sty or an eyelash that is poking in.
It's hard not to worry though...

amelia got that a few weeks back and I
called the doctor and they said that if
she had been crying a lot it could be
clogged tear duct. it went away like a
day or two later. she was fine.
could be a blocked tear duct? rowan's had
one since she was like a week old and
there is nothing to be done about it but
to massage it apparently. if it was an
eye infection it would probably spread to
both eyes. I call it rowans "monster"
eye. it sounds like nothing to me.

something small, ya know? I'm so paranoid
about .r.s.v!! lmao!

Oh, great. The carseat is in my husband's
jeep, which is across town.
we've got to stop doing that.
.the nurse who answered the phone said to
come in if her eyeball looks irritated or
if she has discharge. She said .alyvia
would let me know if it was hurting her.
So I guess it's okay?
I'm such a worrier.

like gen and tanya said it could be a
blocked tear duct, try to put a warm
(obviously not hot) compress on it, it
helps open it up...if she'll let you that
is
i get those all the time, ill wake up and
