I Got Off Birth Control Almost a Year Ago... Posted: 03-03-07 16:09pm
Hi, I have a question. I Got Off Birth
Control back in may of last year after
being on it for 4 years. Since then I have
had 2 normal periods one in nov and one in
Dec and since then I have had spotting
here and there. i'm not pregnant or
anything... How long after you get off the
Pill does it take to go back to have
normal periods.... thanks for your help

It can take a long time. However, you can
always go to your doctor and discuss
things if you feel you've waited long
enough for your body to return to normal.

Your periods may never be normal. When I
wasn't on the pill mine were about the
same as yours. Spotting here and there
and no idea when. For some women they are
just irregular.

Im sorry to hear about
what you are going through. Was it the
pill or Depo shot? When I got off the
pill Dec.2005 my periods went right back
to normal in Jan 2006 the nect month but
on the pill I bled every month anyway
(painful,annoying) the pill took the pain
away..Some people get on the pill to
regulate their period from it. If u were
on the shot Im sorry I don't
know..Different people bodies react
differently you know. Ask your doctor
about it I bet your fine...
