I started taking bc the first day of my
period and i had unprotected sex (and he
did not pull out) on day 9 of my pills.
Right now I'm on my 3rd placebo pill and I
still have not had my period. I have not
had sex since then and have taken the pill
within 2 hours of the same time everyday
and have not missed a pill. Maybe I'm
just over-reacting because I know the
leaflet that came with the bc said it is
effective immediately, but when do you
usually start your period during the 7
placebo pills?
Thanks!

If you started your pills on the first day
of your period, have taken them as
directed, and not been ill within 30 min.
of taking your pill you should have
nothing to worry about. St johns wart and
antibiotics may interact with
birthcontrol. If you have not had contact
with these medications then you are fine.
I would normally not start bleeding untill
my 4th or 5th placebo day. It was also not
uncommon for me to skip intire periods (i
was on low dose) I would wait untill you
are to start your next day of active
pills. If you have not begun bleeding yet
than take a home pregnancy test. Birth
control will not effect the results.
Untill then try not to stress.

Even though your on birth control and you
dont want to get pregnant, you should
really be getting your partner to wear a
condom as well. The pill isnt 100%
effective!
