Tiny White Bumps On My Penis.....
Posted: 03-05-07 09:56am

this is my first post here and just wanna say thanx for any help i get. i'm circumsized and just a week ago or so, i noticed a very small white bump along the main part of my shaft (along the top surface). it almost looks like a hair follicle thats more noticable because i've been going tanning. it doesn't itch, burn, or hurt and when i picked it open with a pin, no discharge came out. so i put some neosporin (sp?) and rubbing alcohol on it but it's still there. and yesterday, i noticed a few more (very tiny). could it be something from going to the gym (touching something an not washing my hands before i went pee or something)? any ideas what i could be and how can i get rid of it?

thank you

I'm pretty sure it's just a pore that, due to the penis' tight skin, for the most part, is simply visible. It's nothing serious or anything to worry about.

Thanx for getting back to me. I thought maybe it could be due to tanning also. So nothing I could do to get rid of them?

No, not sure why you'd want to they don't do anything.

Could be a zit, ingrown hair, or just a basic benign cyst. I've had a few cysts on penis shaft before. After a shower they softened and I pretty much just squeezed one and a white ball came out, sort of like a clogged pore or zit would. I had a dermatologist appointment the next day anyway, so I did nothing to the other two. He said they were cysts and removed the other two. The one I popped healed in a couple days, and the ones he did took a couple weeks to heal completely.

Only a doctor can really tell you what it is.

On a side note, if you go to gyms it's wise to wipe down equipment before and after use. Maybe even use a disinfecting spray if the gym will allow you to. A non-chemical spray would be best, such as vinegar or hydrogen peroxide or some other alternative disinfectant. Use a different towel from the one you use to wipe your body with. Not a terribly big deal, but better safe than sorry.
