Causes of False Negative Hpt Posted: 03-07-07 05:05am
I am mom to three children ages 6, 4, and
18 months. With my babies I was 12 weeks
and 10 1/2 weeks pregnant before I had a
positive pregnancy test(not even blood
pregnancy test was positive) and they were
all born 6-9 weeks premature and sga(small
for gestational age) so I am wondering if
this is a case of severe low homone levels
or something. I only get my period every
80 days. But had complete work up jan 8
and it showed that I was mid cycle(lmp was
nov 18th) but no problems. No one has been
able to explain why for 11 years I have
had my periods every 80 days or so so to
get pregnant conception would have been
jan 16th or so. Period was due jan 28-feb
1st. Well it is march 7th and no
period.(would make me just over 9 weeks
pregnant I think. But I get negative home
pregnancy test. I had very little very
light pink discharge around feb 9th but
thats it. Since I dont have insurance no
one will see me without a confirmed
pregnancy test. So I dont know what I
should do. Is it possible that my hormone
levels are just very low? Would that
explain my negative pregnancy tests, sga's
and inability to carry to term.
ok so it finally let me, what iw as saying
was that sounds odd, not sure if yer
horomone levels are out of whack or
something, and not having insurance doesnt
help ya out to much. if i were the dr id
find it odd after the 2nd kid them being
born almost 2 mths premature and small for
there gestational age. I wouda suggested
an ultrasound to find out if your pregnant
but with lack of insurance i dont know if
that is possible for you since they can be
quite expensive.
id suggest finding some good insurance to
get on and getting yourself checked out,
none of it sounds normal to me. id be
afraid of getting pregnant again honsetly.
