So it's payday today, and I've been dying to buy a few things that make me look half decent! I'm getting my eyebrows done but was wondering about self tanners. I have never used one, I usually use a bed in the winter but being pregnant thats obviously a no no! I was just curious if anyone here uses self tanners. if so what kind do you prefer or find works best for you? I just don't wanna look in the mirror anymore , I look dead and tired all the time... it's just starting to make me feel really crappy... so any advice would be appreciated! Smile

tanning isn't a good idea when pregnant. some salons will refuse you, some will advise against it.

use a tinted moisturiser that builds up a gentle color with no uv rays and no chemicals instead.

I use them but so far I've only used the bath and body brand. I like the foam the best because it dries fast but their lotions don't take too long. They kinda smelly funny though so I do it at night!

lol. yea I'm scared of going orange! I'm pretty pale so I'd have to get something light.
I think I'll take Kia's advice, a moisturiser probably won't make it as icky as a full on tan in a bottle.
Thanks ladies.

last year i bought a brand new mini skirt.. and my legs were white, so i went to walmart and got some spray tanning stuff and it was supposed to be "sooo good" and so i came home and did it, went to bed about an hour after and woke up in the morning and i was *orange*

i still wore the skirt the next day haha i was excited but i felt retarded!! Razz

anyway, my boyfriends sister went to a salon and they spray you with the tanning stuff... it's kind of expensive, like 23 dollars and it lasts for a week but she said it works really good. she woke up in the morning after she had it done and was orange and freaked out, but she took a shower and all the orange crap went away, so maybe that?

it is kind of expensive though Confused

id be iffy about that too the spray tan because of the fumes u might breathe in during it. those i think would be kewl, ive never used self tanners or been to a tanning salon ever in my life.

I should clairfy the lation I get from bath and body is gradual. I started buying it there because I wanted higher quality and assurance I wouldn't turn orange.

the mystic tan (spray on one from tanning salons) is actually suppose to be okay for pregnant woman to get. My sister went around asking all the salons and her doctor because she got one done from my wedding a while back. But to be honest I wasnt a big fan of it. I still felt streaky which is my biggest issue.. Its March!! WOOOhoo not to much longer until the suns out!!
