I've never had one, but I would think an
itchy vagina would mean a yeast infection.
You could probably try one of those 3-day
treatments that they sell over the
counter. And if that doesn't work, maybe
schedule an appointment. That's what I
would do.
Let us know how things work out!

Thrush is the second most common cause of
a vaginal discharge. (The most common
cause of vaginal discharge is bacterial
vaginosis.) The discharge is usually
creamy white, but is sometimes watery. It
can cause itch, redness, discomfort, or
pain around the outside of the vagina.
Sometimes symptoms are minor and clear up
on their own. Often symptoms can be quite
irritating and will not go without
treatment.
Thrush does not damage the vagina, and it
does not spread to damage the uterus
(womb). If you are pregnant it will not
harm your baby.
...that sounds exactly like it..aw dam it
lol

This is a personal question (but, hey, we
just had a post about it!) But do you
shave were you are having the irritation?
I sometimes have some irritation and
itching when the hair is growing back.
Just a thought. I just find it really hard
to believe that you have been living with
a yeast infection for that long!

I had one for months.. it would get better
sometimes but never completely go away. I
was too embarrassed to tell my mum, let
alone see a doctor. It was horrible
sometimes.. I scratched myself until I
bled. It got better as soon as I started
putting cream on it.

more people than you know put up with
yeast infections longer than you think.
some find it embarrissing. Some people
don't have the itching and the buring all
the time and sometimes it can come and go.
if you dont' take care of it right away
it can seem to dissapear but it really
hasn't. Also if it's not taken care of
you and your partner may pass it back and
forth. Not a good thing.
laura love, go have it checked out and
make sure thats all it is.

yeah if it goes untreated gen is right ,
yours can go away and then you might have
passed it your partener and get it
again...it needs to be treated if it is
that..and yes, many women dont even know
they have it and live with the itch and
burning..i got one in my life late in my
pregnancy my dr. gave me a prescription
cream..it went away within a couple of
days.

you put the cream that you would put in
your vagina onto his penis - including
under the foreskin if he has one.
