Adenocarcinoma is a cancer that starts in
the cells of glands, such as the bronchial
glands, which are found in the mucous
membrane lining the airways.
.I just looked that word up. But I know
about pancreatic cancer. My aunt had it.
She had all kinds of chest x-rays, an mri
and a pet scan. I don't know what else she
had done, but they didn't find out what
she was diagnosed with until a few months
later. She didn't make it though. But they
have all kinds of treatments and if they
find it early enough, than you should be
fine. My aunt lived for years until she
passed. I'm not trying to scare you, I'm
just telling you what happened with my
aunt. I'm sure everything will be okay.
Don't worry about it, because if you do
you'll just scare yourself and you don't
want that for you or your baby. Good luck
on everything though!

Oh my. How old are you?? It's not very
common in younger people. When is your
appt. You must be in complete shock right
now. I am sure you will get more answers
with the specialist. Hang in there (easier
said then done).

You must be so scared. (I flip out about
the smallest things). But the good news is
that they are paying attention to your
complaints. And that way they caught it
early. So they can fix it early. I'm not
sure if that kind of cancer can be benign
(I don't know a thing about that kind of
cancer) but I hope it is.
And you shouldn't be scared because you
have a 4 mo. old. You should be inspired
to make it through anything life throws at
you. You were able to become pregnant,
have a beautiful baby, and are doing
wonderfully at motherhood. In my eyes, if
you can do all of that, you can do
anything!
My prayers are with you and your family!

Thanks so much for your comforting words.
No, you're right, it's not common in young
women however, I have a history of
cancer... I had a brain tumor removed when
I was 14 years old... I will be 21 in
June... I'm so scared... I read that
pancreatic cancer is rare for my age and
that frieghtens me... I got throught this
once though.... I can do it again... It's
just harder now b/c the only thing I can
think about is Brianne and not being able
to fluff her veil for her wedding someday

My husband has cancer he was diagnosed
stage 4 (the highest for his type) when he
was 21 (only by a few months) Don't worry
your self by thinking so much about the
future for now take it one step at a time.
For now the next step is the next doctors
appointment. That is what we/he do/does.
Just focus on the here and now and pretty
soon two years will have passed, like it
has for us. Its not easy and its not fun,
but your a strong woman, you have proven
that time and time again. PM me if you
need me. Mark has a Carcinoma tumor as
well but they won't know if that is
exactly what you have untill a biopsy is
done if your scans even warent one.
Praying for you.

I'm so sorry that you've got this worry
right now. I can sympathise because I
have recently had a swollen lymph gland
removed to be tested for cancer. My doc
thinks the chances are small but it's
still a worry, especially when you have a
child.
I will keep you in my thoughts and I hope
that it turns out to be a false alarm. If
not, you've beaten it once, you can do it
again...and you will have the support of
everyone here on this site.
Big hugs.
Jules.
