Anxiety Or Something Else? Posted: 03-08-07 21:02pm
Last night, I was just like.. really,
really insanely cold, for no reason. The
room I was in was about 70+ degrees, but I
don't know what could cause it. It wasn't
like hot flashes or anything, the cold
feeling stuck around until the morning.
Along with that, whenever I lie down, my
feet are always ice cold, same with my
hands, but now my knuckles crack, and they
never really did that until I started
having anxiety problems. I'm curious as
to whether the anxiety could be just
anxiety, or poor blood circulation? If
you think it's blood circulation, what
should I do? Exercise more?

Once a person experiences his/her first
panic attack it isn't unusual for the mind
to constantly scan the body for any little
tingle, ache or pain, temperature change
etc. This is why people develop fixation
on their health. Most likely the change
in temperature was simply caused by sweaty
feet and anxiety made it worse and so on.
It is a vicious cycle. Sometimes a
physical feeling will spark anxiety,
sometimes a thought will spark anxiety,
and sometimes anxiety just happens. The
only thing you can do is accept that this
may happen and learn to live with the
anxiety. The less you fear it, the less
it will rule your life.
Try eating well
Give up smoking, drinking, caffeine if you
haven't already
Meditation of CBT are great ways to work
on yourself

Exercise is a huge one
All of this will help and then there are
meds that really help. personally I have
bad reactions to antidepressants, so I
take Xanax and it is a wonder drug for
me.
