I posted last night wanting to know if
back pain is a sign of labor. I went to
sleep last night with severe back pain.
Other than getting up to pee I slept
through the night ok. I woke up at like
6:45 this morning with what felt like
period cramps. They weren't bad at all,
just uncomfortable. At about 8 I was
still having them about 20 minutes apart.
By 8:30 the pain was a little more sharp,
not too bad though. We went to see my
midwife this morning for her to check me.
She said his heartbeat was a little slower
than it has been, she checked me and said
I was dilated between 1 and 2 cm. She
sent me home, telling me to relax and wait
on either my water to break or for the
contractions to get really bad and then to
call and she will meet me at the
hospital.
So it has been a few hours now and the
pain has remained coming and my back still
aches but they front pain hasn't gotten
much worse than this morning so now I am
just waiting around. So hopefully he will
be here by the end of the weekend! I am
only 37 weeks and 3 days along so I am
hoping that he is ready.

just make sure that you keep yourself
hydrated.. keep your feet up and i wish
you luck.. it sounds like you are in the
very beginning of labor. you can stay
dilated 1 cm for weeks though..
