summat is a misspelling of poor pronounciation of "something".

"commoners" tend to use "summat" for something
"wit or wid" for with
"paf and baf" for path and bath

sad really that people abuse the english language so much

yeah i know, same with the people over here. my friends like to think they're gangster so they say "dat, wit" and all this gangster lingo, it makes me mad and makes me want to shove my foot in their mouth so they'll shut up with it.

I don't think I ever used any og those words,even when I was yonger.I think the most I said was Kool! only spelled wrong.it gets very annoying! its so much harder to screw up the wording than it is to say it right!
