Is it safe to get your hair touched up?

My sister's a hairdresser and she told me
that it's best not to get a colour done
which is applied directly to the scalp due
to the chance of chemicals getting into a
small cut. Having a clour in foils is
pretty much safe. Also the breathing in
the chemicals is thought to get into the
bloodstream. it's all a small risk but
it's your call
