i know everyone's top wish is to have a beautiful healthy baby. which it should be. Very Happy

but, just for curiosity's sake. what did you hope to have when you first found out you were pregnant? boy? girl? you didn't really care? what did you end up having?

i'm really hoping for a boy. this is my first, as well as my boyfriend's, and we're both praying for a little boy. moreso him than myself. either way i'd be extremely happy. i just want a healthy child. but, idk. just thought i'd ask for the fun of it.

Me and my fiance both always wanted our first to be a little girl. Him even more than me I think. I knew right from the start I was having a girl, and I dunno why, but I couldn't quite believe I was actually getting what I wanted.. Part of me thought it was bound to be a boy just because we wanted a girl! Obviously I just wanted a healthy baby, as you said, but for years I've wanted a little girl first and now I have one =)

i wanted a girl and i was absolutely convinced that's what i was having.

i was shocked when the ultrasound tech told us he was a boy and i think i was disappointed for like 5 seconds, then i was just as excited about a boy as i was a girl.

so i guess even though i wanted a girl, in the end it really didn't matter at all.

i love my sweet boy more than anything!

For as long as I can remember .I've always wanted a little girl. I've always wanted a little mini me lol. I knew from the beginning I was having a girl, just a feeling I guess. Shane, like a lot of guys I know, wanted a boy. He still does but he loves .Kaylee to pieces & is already talking about having the gun ready for her first boyfriend Laughing We were talking about trying for another baby when .Kaylee is about a year old but the other day he said he's iffy about having another one because he's afraid he'll have a "favorite".. So we'll see!

Oh & I forgot to add -- We didn't find out we were having a girl until 3 days before I had her.. But with everything I went through while I was pregnant (high blood pressure, gestational diabetes, being kicked in the stomach) I didn't care what I was having as long as he/she was healthy!

.Yeah..I was around 7 months pregnant & my sister & I got in an argument about my cat having kittens (.She took it upon herself to tell our little 6 year old brother that when my cat had her kittens I was going to take them somewhere & kill them (You don't tell a 6 year old that!) -- not how it was happening) .. But I slapped her because she started saying things about how I was 7 months pregnant & .Shane & I were still living with my mom & how I needed to get a job (I wasn't aloud to work & she knew this).. Soo she proceded to kick me in the bottom of my stomach. Shane drove me straight to the hospital & they did an emergency ultrasound & thankfully everything was fine.

Not a fun day..

We're actually a lot closer now surprisingly. I didn't talk to her for a long time after that but then the night I had .Kaylee as they were wheeling me down the hall to go in for my csection, she started bawling & gave me a huge hug. Since .I've had .Kaylee she has actually grown up a tad bit (she's 17) so we get along great now.

Edited cuz I put words in where they didn't belong lol. Go me.

i would seriously never talk to my sister again if she did that to me.

anyway.

i really didn't care at first what i was having. for about a day, i really wanted a girl. but then i decided i really didn't. but that's what i felt like i was having- even though i was hoping for a boy. it didn't bother me. of course i would've loved my baby no matter what! i can't really picture myself with a daughter right now. i think i was meant to have a son. I don't have a sister. But if she ever kicked me in the stomach while I was pregnant, she would come very close to losing her life. I'd do things to her while she was sleeping. Evil or Very Mad

*cough* anyway...

My husband wanted a boy, and I wanted a girl. I was convinced we were having a boy, but lo and behold, I have a daughter. Aaron loves his little girl to bits, but I know he's hoping our next is a girl. *edit - I mean boy*

with my first one i wanted a girl and thats what i got
with my second i wanted another girl hubby at the time wanted a boy and was really pissed when it was a girl.
with my 3rd i wanted a girl. never wanted a boy cause i just thought of it as being punished for all the horrible things i have done. but when they told me it was a boy i screamed really loud and started crying. but i soon was fine with having a boy. i love him just as much as my girls.
with the twins i wanted girls. i told my husband if they were boys i would kill him haha so he just was hoping one was a girl. i know he really wanted at least one boy. but he said he just wanted healthy babies and i hate when people say that cause when i dont have healthy babies i feel like i let them down.

edited to add: if we happen to have an opps i am pregnant i hope its a boy only cause i know thats what my hubby really wants.

I didnt' care at all....all i wanted was a healthy baby.........after loosing one you tend to realize that getting pregnant and actually having a baby is something more than just wanting on or the other.

But when i found out i was having a girl...i got really happy.....so deep down i believe that I really wanted a girl.....

so i had a girl.

haha. aw!! thanks for answering girls. Very Happy

i know regardless of what i end up having, i'll be happy with either sex. i want a boy for certain reasons & then i want a girl for other reasons. but above everything, i'm praying for a healthy baby.

i'm not finding out the sex until my shower. i came up w/ the idea of having it be announced to me at my baby shower, which two of my best friends [& my boyfriend] are planning. i know it's a couple of months away, but time sure does fly.
