Shoulder Pain Post Surgery Posted: 03-12-07 16:02pm
I had surgery on my shoulder after an
accident at work, after P.T. I am still in
intense pain every day and night. My
surgeon said there was nothing he can do.I
had a M.R.I. and the results said there
was a degenerative cyst in the greater
tuberosity of my humerous,as well as a
focal partial tear involving the distal
supraspinatus tendon, also a slight tear of
the anterior glenoid labrum.The Doctor
says this is all normal, yet I can not move
my arm well and I am in constant intense
pain!Does this seem normal to you?

If you haven't already received a second
opinion I would highly suggest getting
one. Make sure the the second opinion is
with an Orthopedic Surgeon that
specializes in shoulders. No, it is not
normal to have 2 partial tears and a cyst.
All of these can contribute to an
unstable shoulder thus leading to
increased pain and loss of ROM.
