Blah - Venting!!

Hello beautiful ladies!!
Well, I feel horrible tonight, and it all started b/c I wanted to go and get a few pieces of maternity clothes.
Yes, I am going to be the "typical pregnant girl" and vent, and I know that I am being silly, but right now all I want to do is cry Crying
or Very sad
Let's just say that being pregnant is wonderful and amazing, but the part about getting bigger *everywhere* is not.
I went to the mall tonight to look for a pair of pants to wear to work, as almost none of mine are fitting anymore, and there was another girl in the section looking at the clothes. She stood there and was saying "god, all these clothes are soooooo huge. I don't think I'll need these, so I'll just go and get a bigger size then what I am wearing now".And I was holding up a pair of size Medium jeans thinking to myself "hmm, these look nice...", she proceeded to say to her hubby, "look at how big even a size small is. Who would wear anything bigger than that....even at 9 months pregnant".
Freakin' nice huh?! Well, I ignored that comment and continued on.
Then, I bump into an old friend who did not know I was pregnant. When she asked "what's new" and I told her I was expecting the beginning of Sept, she laughed so loud and said to me" Oh, well than that explains why you look like you put on quite the weight. I thought you had just gotten fat!"
My night was done. I left the mall feeling like crap.
Now trust me, I eat very good, not alot of sweets and junk, but my stomach and hips / thighs have gotten so big that I'm worried!!!!! I will post some pic's soon just so you can see yourself. I am very big for only being 15 weeks (tomorrow)!!!!! Shocked I've gained about 8 pounds so far, not sure if that's too much or about right. And let's not talk about cellulite that I am developing all over my ass and thighs!!
Any of you experience the same thing? How did you deal with those rude people? Rolling Eyes
Sorry this is a book.....just needed to vent a little!!!

Jae, I am sorry you had such a bad day. All I can say is that I hope it gets better and that in the end it will all be worth it to have your little one in your arms. I love you girl!

People can be so rude sometimes. I had a friend who was pregnant and didn't really tell a bunch of people at work that she was expecting. Some of the team came in from out of town and one person said to her that she looked like she was putting on a bunch of weight... she said, yeah that's what happens when you are 8 months pregnant. You should have seen his face.

All of my friends that have had kids said the same thing. That they were freaked out at how much their bodies were changing so fast. But it's for a reason... there is a beautiful baby inside that will melt your heart when the little one comes out and all the worries about how you look won't matter.

I used to be 3 stone heavier (3 stones = 42lbs) than I aM NOW AND ONE DAY my old neighbour said to me, "You wanna lay off the chocolate, you're getting fat" and my great uncle (who was in his 90s so I'll forgive him) said, "Get a backpack and go running in the hills, that'll shift that weight. Mind you, big bottoms are supposed to be trendy nowadays aren't they?"

Shocked

Oh, and I wasn't pregnant either of those times... Laughing

Jae- I am so sorry that you had that happen to you! I get the whole "I didn't know that you were pregnant I just thought you lost your ab definition" bit all the time. I thought that I was growing but my belly is still small. Maternity clothes don't fit me but I went from wearing a size 4-6 to now wearing a size 12 pant. I have gained 16 lbs so you are doing better in the weight department than I am.

You should definately post pictures! We are so close together that it is cool. I don't think that I have gotten any bigger in like a couple of weeks so I am not going to post any! People have seen it all before. Kinda worries me that I am not getting bigger but that is just me. Talk later.

Ahh thanks Ladies!!! You have all made me feel better tonight!!!!
I know that my growing bdoy is a good thing - I think I just need to get over it (so to speak) and stop looking in the mirror so much! Rolling Eyes
And for those rude people out there, well I hope they gain 100 pounds or more when they get pregnant one day and see what it feels like!!!!! LOL
Evil or
Very Mad
Musik - don't worry, your tummy will eventually *pop* out - but since you are smaller, maybe it will take longer??? My tummy is shaped weird!!! It's very big and round from just under my boobs all the way down, so I don't know if my belly has popped, but like i said, it just looks really really big. I actually can't wait until it does look like a pregnant belly, so people will stop looking at me and wonder why I've gotten "fat", in their minds!
I will post some pic's maybe tomorrow - too tired to do it now!!!! You'lll see what I mean and then you'll be glad your tummy isn't as big as mine!!! LOL!

Mg - I love you to girl! How have you been?!

Thanks again girls.......I do feel better now b/c of you!!!!!!
Hugs,
J

I hate those kinds of comments. I understand you not wanting to say much to your Uncle, but still - ouch Sad
But that's awesome that you lost all that weight!!! I hope I can get back down to about 128 - 133 lbs after baby is born.
How did you do it????? My body L.O.V.E.S to hang onto the fat, and as I get older, it's getting harder for me to lose it!!!
I need everyone's losing weight (the healthy way!!) secrets!!!!!!!!!!!! Wink

i gained almost 70 freaking pound while pregnant and I was not eating junk or crap (well sometimes) found out when I had the baby that I had 2 amniotic sacs so that was a lot of the gain, but still I was big like krissy (arcadia) by the end-lol.

i had people asking if I was having twins from about 4 months on. that was a pain.

then I was at the hosp with trey when he was about 6 months old and some lady saw me at the elevator and said "oh when's the baby due?" i looked at her and said "the baby is 6 months old m'am" lol She kept apologizing, I laughed though, my stomach will never be what it used to be but I finally fit back into my pre-preggo clothes when trey was 18 months old Shocked !!!!!

people can be rude. i don't think tey realize it when they do it though. and that girl who was thinking she wasn't gonna need big clothes. HA! I thought the same thing at 3 months, then I blew up! lol

Your post made me laugh!!!!! Well, I think sometimes you're right...people don't think before they speak, and sometimes their intentions are not meant to hurt, but still - more than often certain comments are needed!!!!! LOL!
I've had a couple people ask me if I am having twins b/c my tummy is so big - but I did have an u/s to check for twins since I have 4 sets in my family! Shocked Just a singleton in my tummy though - so no using that as my excuse Rolling Eyes !!
As long as I can lose the weight one day, I guess that's all I can ask for!!!!
I do enjoy working out though, so at least that's a bonus!!!

I'm good Jae. I'm just very, very tired. Man, I never knew the fatigue would be this bad. DH is like-it's way too early for you to play the I'm tired game. He doesn't understand that a lot of people are very tired in the beginning. My God-my body is busy developing an embryo into a fetus. Excuse me-I know he will get better with this though. It's just going to take time.

mg- lol, my dh said that I was faking the tired part at first. Now whenever i complain about being tired he always reminds me that I am growing a human inside of me. The tiredness hasn't gone away with my second trimester either. I so thought that it would! I want to sleep all the time. I think that every night I sleep around 10-12 hours and then I usually take a nap in the afternoon. If I don't do all that I can barely function all day. I hope that your tiredness goes away soon.

Being tired doesn't go away. They say in the second trimester you are more comfortable and can sleep more soundly. Enjoy it while you can, because in the last month there is no getting comfortable

I think that rots that people make rude comments about being hefty.

Mg & Musik - I know allll about being tired!!!!! I am the same way. I need to take a nap everyday around 4pm or so for about an hour to an hour and a half, or I am passed out on the couch by 7pm!!!!!! Mine actually feels like it's getting worse than it was in my first trimester. Oh well, at least I don't feel sick anymore!!!!!! The only thing I notice now is the getting short of breath at times, and bending over to pick things up and tie my shoes is getting hard. Can you believe it?!
Oh well, get to go for my second u/s on April.16th and I've requested to have a 3-d picture taken!!!! I can't wait to see what my baby looks like!!!!!!! I will post the u/s pic once it is done!
Take care all you beautiful girls! Wink

Jae- I think that my tiredness is getting worse too. I eat all the time now as well! I eat more than my man. Now, that is embarrassing.

awww hun, just ignore the stupid people, When I was 16 weeks I had some random woman tell me that 'no way was I only 4 months,' she actually stood there arguing with me because she was sure I was further gone because I was so big...what did she know???

just think your body is growing so it can look after your baby, forget about all the weight your putting on and just think of your beautiful baby growing in there. There will be plenty of time to sort out the rest when baby is born. Afterwards you will probably be so busy running after your little one that it will just fall off!

Wish you could see me I am huge not just the belly but everywhere!! but I took so long to get this baby I just dont care!!

Cant believe your already 15 weeks how are things going anyway???

Jolie girl!!! I am so glad to hear from you and it sounds like you are doing well!!! I just saw your pic's....they are so cute...belly and your sons!!!!!!!! Thanks for the words of wisdom. It is hard getting so big so fast, but I'm just starting to get used to it.....just a little! Wink
And I hope you're right......I pray the weight will just "fall off" oncce baby is here!!! Here's to wishful thinking!!! I can't believe how fast it's gone already. I can only imagine what the next few months will be like! I'll blink and I'll be about ready to "pop"! Things are going really well. My new symptom is having to *pee* alllllll the time now. It's stupid how often I 'go'! Still really tired, but other than that, I'm well! Gte to go for my next u/s on April.16th, and requested a 3-d picture from it, so I'm really really excited for that! Not going to find out the sex of the baby though......as hard as it will be, we are going to leave it for a surprise. Why not, right?!
Hope you are feeling great and enjoying baby in your tummy! Have you felt him/her move yet? Are you going to try and find out the sex at your next u/s???

Omg Jae! You aren't going to find out the sex. Man, you are so much stronger than I am. I want to know as soon as possible. I am impatient like that though and have been my whole life. I am so looking forward to my u/s. I still need to schedule it but last time I was able to schedule it only a few days in advance so i am hoping for the same thing again.
