Q: Is an Ultrasound harmful to the Fetus?

I had a few questions about my pregnancy. I am 6 weeks pregnant and i have a appt scheduled to my doctor in three weeks for an ultra sound.Do you think i should wait for the 20 week ultra sound instead i mean they are not that good for the baby. Another question is can i drink rasberry tea?

An ultrasound scan has no lasting effect on a fetus. Regular ultrasound scans during pregnancy are very useful for early detection of some disorders that might be experienced during pregnancy. Furthermore, an ultrasound scan in the 9th week of pregnancy is used to confirm a fetal heart beat. You might re-consider performing the ultrasound scan in 3 weeks' time, as the procedure is used as a check-up diagnostic tool.


Yes, it seems that you may drink raspberry tea during pregnancy.
