today is my first prenatal appt. & i won't lie, i'm really nervous, but organized. i took a pregnancy test & it came back w/ a very faint positive. over the last couple of days the line has been getting lighter & lighter. i'm concerned b/c the other day, and i made a post about it, i had a steady, but not heavy by any means, brown discharge. it lasted for about a day & a half, then turned back to clear white. i had no major cramps, some mild ones here & there. do you think it's possible i had a miscarriage? i'm guessing, from the date of my last period, i'm about 8-9 weeks along.

my doctor's appt. is at 9:15 am. new jersey time.

I would think a positive is a good thing. Make a list of all the questions and concerns you are having and ask them to your doc.

Have a great appt!

that's what i would think, too? i looked online & i couldn't find anything stating that you'd still have a positive result after a miscarriage. i'm just nervous b/c the line went from being really dark a couple of days ago to barely visible. it's there though, no questions. thanks for the reply & i'm trying to relax myself. i'm happy i'm finally seeing a doctor. Very Happy

Do you mean you've been looking at the test over and over again? Because if so it is very very normal for the result to fade or even dissapear after a while hense why tests are void if read more than 10 minutes after taking

Lots of women spot or have what is a normal period for them when they are pregnant. I didn't bleed at all with my daughter and this time around I bled almost steady during the third month, with cramping. Which is how I ended up on ehealth.

I know it's easier said than done, but you have to stop worrying so much. It isn't healthy for you or your baby.

If your taking more than one test in a row they are going to be lighter and lighter because the concentration of HCG will go down wait for a day or so before you try another one and use first morning urine. That is if you still feel the need after your doctors appointment.
