Dizziness Still Here...
Posted: 03-19-07 11:05am

I posted a few weeks ago moaning about the constant feeling of spinning, tirdness, floaty feeling i have had for 8 months now, exactly a week after the birth of my second son.
I had an app at the hospital to see a specialist,i had my ears and balance checked and everything was normal.
We then had a good chat, and he seems to think that what im experiencing is defo anxiety related even PND.
As i had the exact same problem after my first son was born,i started feeling ill about a week after, and that lasted a year or so.
My palps are pretty bad at the moment too, which they make me feel anxiuos and scared,as i used to always associate them with the begining of a nasty panic attack, which i used to get reguarly.
Ive been prescribed Propranol Bedranol 80mg once a day on long term, which seem to help with some things.
I can handle everything eles, but this dizzy feeling just wont go away, and its draining,im finding it really hard to cope at the moment. Crying
or Very sad

i think its pretty safe to say if you went to the doc and they say its anxiety, it probably is. Ive been dealing with all the same stuff too. My dizziness isnt as bad lately, but the palps are driving me crazy. It really freaks me out! Have you tried any meds?

Yes im currently taking propanol (beta blocker) these do seem to help with the palpitations, well at least keeping them under control!!
They defo freak you out,i was getting them nearly all the time but since ive been taking he beta blockers it has made a difference!
Ive also been precribed citlopram, which is an anti depressent, also helps with anxiety and panic attacks, ive only just started taking it so cant say if its any good as yet!
I dont want to be taking all these meds for ever more, but if they help its got to be worth it!!!
take care!
