I started taking birth control last month.
I got my period on the 3rd day of the
spacer pills.(Last Wednesday) Wasn't that
heavy, but I still have it. I thought
periods would be shorter? like 3 days. Or
does it take a couple months for my
periods to be shorter?

Your body may take some time to adjust.
Many women do have shorter periods. Some
only have lighter periods. Some women do
not see a change at all. It took me about
4 months for it to get to 3-4 days in
length. Then they continued to get shorter
until they only lasted 2 days max. How
many active pills are you into your next
pack?

I remember when I started my first pack on
the day I got my period(on a sunday) and
my period only lasted about 3 days.

It will *probably* so the same this month.
When I first started birth control, I
would continue to bleed until the third or
fourth active pill. It is very common to
do this through the entire time you are on
birth control. I would give it three
months or so...if you are unhappy with how
it is helping in length then you should
bring it to your prescribing physicians
attention. There are *many* options
available for birth control .You may also
have some spotting the first few months.
But it is worth it in the long run!

Your periods will be irregular until your
body gets used to it. My periods vary a
little each month since i started a new
kind. It should regulate a little more
soon.
