Hiccups And Numbness And a Few Other Questions Posted: 03-19-07 21:11pm
ok, i have a few questions that have been
bugging me the last few weeks
first, i hear so many people talking about
hiccups, is it normal for a baby not to
get them, i dont thing valkyrie has, at
least ive never felt them and i can feal
practically everything
second, when i lay certain ways my legs go
all numb and tingly, is that normal? im
thinking its just because of the pressure
of my uterus but im not sure
next, my boobs started leaking a few weeks
ago and for a few monthes now ive had
these bumps all over them but lately they
have been getting more and more, and they
are like white, kinda look like little
pimples or something but they dont feel
like it
last, is stress really as bad for a baby
as everyone claims, ive heard a few people
tell me its not really that bad but im not
sure, trevors been gone for a while (hes
in the navy, went on a det (mini
deployment) for 10 days (5th to the 15th)
then came home then left again last night
to go to the boat for 10 days (19th to the
29th) and hes supose to be gone around the
time im supose to deliver her (hes acutlay
supose to leave on my due date) then he
leaves again in the begining of july) and
all this is just killing me lately knowing
how much hes gonna miss and how much i
miss him and am going to miss him...i just
dont want it to hurt her too
i think thats all for now

yes, it's normal - both
ways.

yes'm. it puts pressure
on your vena cava and on the sciatic
nerves (well more besides but they are the
main ones).
laying on your left should improve blood
flow to the uterus and relieve pressure
from the vena cava.

They are montgomery
glands. Everyone has them, but they
typically become visible during pregnancy.
Doctors have varying ideas on their
purpose but it does appear that they help
lubricate the nipple

Stress isn't good, but
you show me a pregnant woman with no
stress...
try to get *some* relaxation time each
day.
maybe read a book, play some music, put
your feet up and watch telly, take a warm
(not hot) bath...

When I was pregnant with my daughter I
felt it when she had the hiccups, but this
time I have only felt them a couple of
times. I know he's had them, because he
was hiccuping on an ultrasound and while
we were listening to his heart beat.

thanks kia...i try laying om my left side
and my legs still go numb half the time,
its so annoying, and its getting harder
and harder to get some time to relax, i
have such a full schedual usually, the
only time i have time to relax is tueday
night and the weekend, but then someone
usually needs me to do something, other
then that im practically always busy, it
sucks, i dont even have time to exercise
much anymore, which sucks because that
means im gaining more weight and stuff, i
wish i could find time to do other things
bleh...i dont even have time to get on
here much, i only get on when im eating
dinner or lunch or something, or at night
when i cant sleep, or when the kids (i
watch 2 little kids for a friend) are
napping and i dont have any other work to
do
mommy35 (i think your name is cindy, am i
right? im terrible with names) thanks, it
just has been kinda creeping me out,
everyone always talks about hiccups and
stuff and ive never felt them, not once, i
know shes ok cause she moves like crazy
but it still buggs me i dont really know
why

Curious as to how far along you are??? I
am 18 weeks with twins and same situation,
unfortunately I don't have much time to
get on here either, only when I am slow at
work!!!
Anyways, for the last week, my left front
leg keeps going numb and I totally
remember that with my son 8 years ago, but
that wasn't until I was super prego with
him, for me to get this now at 4 months, I
am freaking out miserable, thinking about
how the rest of the pregnancy is going to
be!!!
Anyways, I was just curious how far along
because I feel I am so early for that. We
go to the OB tomorrow, so I will mention
it, and can't wait till we find out what
the babies are!!!
Take care!
