Questions About Possible Dental Problems
Posted: 03-20-07 07:33am

A friend of mine told me she needs to have surgery on her teeth or else something might go to her brain and she could die. When she told me this, I was skeptical because I've never heard of anything like that. I started searching around the net and found out some info about focal infections and periodontal pockets that can cause bacteria to migrate from the teeth to other organs and cause problems. Can something like this really happen and kill her? Can bacteria go to her brain and really cause death? Are there any dentists/doctors on this forum who can offer a professional answer? I am just boggled.
