Scared And Confused
Posted: 03-21-07 00:52am

Hi there. I've been having some problems the last few months. I've been in and out of the emergency room, seen countless doctors, and i'm starting to feel like i'm losing my mind or something. I've had obsessive compulsive disorder my whole life and been dealing with anxiety for a long time. I've tried a few different medications for it, which I stopped because they wern't helping like i'd hoped. I've seen at least 3 different therapists and been to a group for ocd. Nothing seemed to help until I tried marijuana with a friend a couple years back.

So I got addicted to it. about two years into smoking I started getting slight chest discomfort in the left side of my chest with head pressure that would seem to build up in my ears and eyes a bit. I kept smoking, thinking nothing of it, until a few months ago, it started getting really bad and very intense. My chest would start feeling really tight, start burning, cramping, tingling and feeling like someone was pushing on my chest. It felt deep in my chest, under the bone. I could feel my heart beating and feel palpatations. I would feel the tingling go down my left arm into my hand and up into my jaw and mouth, as well as down into my feet a bit. I would get stomach cramps as well. One specific time I felt the right side of my face go slightly numb with tingling up my neck into my head.

Since these episodes, i've been having trouble sleeping. I get endless muscle spasms all over my body that seem to tickle more than hurt. My left arm and leg feel like they don't get enough blood and fall asleep(pins and needles) pretty easily it seems. This all makes me very stressed, anxious, and depressed.

I've had at least 4 ekg's. Been put on heart monitors, had a 24 hour take home heart monitor, a ct scan of my head, an mri of my head, an eeg done on my head, blood tests, urine tests. All came back normal. I'm positive the pot wasn't laced because i've tried 3 differen't types from different people, which all yield the same effects on me. I also gave myself an at home drug test that came back negative(except for marijuana ) so I know it was working.

I'm very confused because the doctors have all told me they think it's anxiety but i'm not so sure. I've been dealing with anxiety for my entire life and this has never happened except while on marijuana. I have stopped smoking it, but am still very worried as some of these effects have persisted since i've quit.

Please someone help me. Could this be something serious? I'm in pretty good shape, I don't smoke cigs or drink much. My blood pressure is very good and i've played sports for most of my life.

I have had similar problems and tests. All the MD's said it's
anxiety. I happened to talk to a friend just back from China about
my problem and he told me to contact Dr. Zhu there.
This old doctor told me that my symptoms were real and dangerous.
He told me to get 3 amino acid products and take them daily. He also said to get my iodine checked and if low, to take 1 drop of SSKI iodine with a tbl of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water each am.
After a week I no longer had as many occurances and in 2 weeks none at all.
The side effects also were great, I had so much more energy and lost about a pound a week. I have written the instructions and have been asked by a number of people to send them to them. Most cannot believe how well it works.
These amino acids are cheep and natural to the body; but extremely helpfull for the heart. send me your email address and I will send a copy to you.

Did you ever find out what was going on? I read your story, and I've gone through almost everything you're talking about. I even stopped smoking marijuana because of this as well, but the chest pain is still here, and they diagnosed me with costochondritis, but simply by pressing in on my chest, and by asking a couple questions. They never ruled out anything else it could be. I have tingling feelings in my left arm, as if blood flow isn't proper. I get fatigued easy, heart pounds real hard from doing light activity, I'm only 23 years old, and it's really making life hard on me. I'm depressed/paranoid because of it, and I won't have benefits with my new employer for another 3 months, so I'm going crazy wondering if I could have something very serious or not...

Wow, sounds like my episode, please read this story i'm going crazy over it...

I used to play an online game called diablo 2, it made me just sit at the house ALL the time, i played for a whole summer, and most of the year. eventually i quit, i had anxiety (i think) around ppl, i would be so uncomfortable and tense, i really cant remember the symptoms. It gradually went away as time went by, very slowly, also, it felt like stuff was crawling all over my skull to the point where i was screaming inside of my head. I hid it somewhat well, although it drove me nuts. but anyways the anxiety (i guess) of being around ppl went away somewhat, but the crawly feeling on my head didnt. this was in 9th grade, uhh...lets see what else...

My hands and feet are always cold, (i dont know if this is relevant to the story nor do i know if anyone wants to hear this lol) I couldn't get an erection when i was with someone, although if i was by myself i could for a little while, well...better than i could if i was with a girl...

alright, 3/4 thru my senior year, i smoked pot for the first time, it was great, cool...

then i had symptoms like the host for this topic had, chest burned very bad, panic attack i'm pretty sure, (i dont know the exact symptoms of a panic attack, i think it varies person to person right?) It was absolutely horrible... I had only taken 2 hits, rather large ones but only 2,

theres more

when i'm not smoking pot (i dont realy pay attention when i AM smoking it...or...rather when i DID, i dont anymore) it feels like...my hearts just weak...i dunno, its hard to explain, perhaps a mixture a stress and depression? i dont feel bad when i'm laughing for the most part, like really laughing, but its hard to make me laugh BECAUSE of that feeling, just really uncomfortable.

I feel like i'm under a lot of stress, as well as possibly depressed, i never have energy, no motivation to do anything unless i have to or force myself to. I dont know if this is heart problems, mental problems, or what...but it has me so worried....I have no insurance to go to a doctor, I'm 18 years old. its driving me to the point of insanity.

I felt a lot better when i had a job that was active, I work at Geek Squad now so all i do is sit in a chair and fix laptops all day...

Sometimes i find myself not able to even think, like litterally...

when i eat bad foods, i feel horrible, my head does

if i look up sometimes, i'll get light headed, but then if i excersize, it goes away for a while

sometimes I'll get a slight pressure in my head above my ears, and i'll get an uncomfortable feeling on both sides of my forehead, where you can feel the veins if you lay your finger on them very lightly.

I dont know if these problems are related to a heart condition, bad blood flow, mentally brought on myself, stress, depression, or what...god it scares me...
