How to diagnose sterility: trouble getting pregnant Posted: 03-21-07 08:24am
If the Ovulex didnt work, what other
"treatments" or what kind of tests can I
ask my dr. to do to see what is the
problem with me not getting pregnant??? Is
there such thing to want a baby so bad
that it stops u from getting pregnant???
I have been trying to more than a yr and
still nothing. My hubby has 2 kids and
excercises daily. He is very healthy.
Would you please give me some advice i
would really appreaciated. I am desperate
to be a mom.
According to your description of not
getting pregnant after more than a year of
trying to conceive, it seems that you are
experiencing sterility. Sterility is not
only YOUR problem but also your
partner’s. Several medical diagnostic
procedures have to be done to identify the
possible cause for a case of sterility.
Your partner can be examined first because
a spermogram and functional tests are
easier to perform. If everything tests OK
with him, then it's your turn for
diagnostic tests. Standard examinations
for female sterility include: a vaginal
examination, PAP-test, tests for STDs
(especially Chlamydia), vaginal
ultrasound, hormonal analyses (FSH, LH,
estrogen, progesterone, prolactin,
thyroxin etc.) and HSG. Hysteroscopy and
laparoscopy can be done later, if
necessary.
