Low Sex Drive With Loestrin 24 Posted: 03-21-07 15:34pm


I have been taking Loestrin for 3 months now and have had breakthrough bleeding and feel like I have a lot lower sex drive since I have started taking it. Has anyone else had the same effects with this pill as I have?

A lowered sex drive can be a side effect of hormonal birth control. You may want to speak to your doctor about your concerns so that the two of you can pick a different pill or possibly a different method altogether that you feel more comfortable with. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help.

I had the breakthrough bleeding with Loestrin too. I went back to my doctor and she changed my pill. She said it was probably just too low of a dose for me; could be the same situation for you.
