Finn's 4 Month Appointment!
Posted: 03-21-07 17:16pm

finn had his 4 month appointment today and it was great.

he weighs 18 lbs 7 oz (!!!) and is 27 inches long (!!!). he's a giant boy! 90th % for weight, 95th for height.

i expressed some concern that finn doesn't roll over yet but the doctor didn't care since he can sit up on his own and he's passed most of the developmental milestones for a 6 month old.

i'm so proud of my boy!

then he got his shots and it was so heartbreaking. he was laying on the table smiling at us and i was dancing a toy in front of him and i thought he wasn't even going to notice the shots because he didn't react when they stuck them in, once the medicine hit (i'm assuming) his face turned bright red and his eyes were squinched shut and he was screaming. it was *so* sad. the nurse had saved the oral vaccine for last, which i thought was stupid at the time, but when she gave it to him he calmed right down and that was the end of the crying.

now he's sleeping and i think he's pretty uncomfortable, he keeps waking up whimpering. poooooor finn.

Wow I guess .Finn is a big boy!!
Kaylee is a month & a half older & she only weighs 15lbs 4 oz & is 24 inches long lol. I think she's gonna be petite though!
But yay for .Finn, that's awesome! & I hate shots Twisted Evil ..
I can't stay in the room when .Kaylee gets hers, I just can't bare to see her in that much pain so I make .Shane go with us on those days..
She goes for her 6 month shots in about 3 weeks Crying
or Very sad

what a good boy! yeah sitting up is wayyyyy more complicated then rolling over...he sure is a big boy. I went to the hospital 2 weeks ago and she weighed him in at 17lbs at 3.5 months.I have a feeling he will be just as big as finn.

i have to be in the room so i can scoop him up as soon as they're done. there were 2 nurses today, 1 for each leg, and one was done *way* before the other one and i was so antsy and thinking "hurry up! hurry up! hurry up!", i just wanted to pick him up so bad!

6 month shots? oh maaan, i thought there weren't any more until 18 months (i don't know where i got that idea).

i thought for sure he was going to be at least 20 pounds, i was actually surprised when i saw the numbers. christian doesn't look all that chubby to me but maybe it's because i've never seen his legs, finn has *huge* legs. we've got a couple of linebackers on our hands.

some of yall i thought your babies were older then they are but they are close to jordynne i guess, jordynne just turned 3 mths yesterday, next month is her 4mth checkup and shots, she didnt do to bad with those they even had to redo the heel prick , she didnt cry half as much as joseph did when he had all that done . it seems like they constantly get shots, the oral one is the rotavirus one. i think joseph had some at 12 mths when he got here and then again at 18 mths . then i dont think he goes back until hes 2 i beleive. so eventually u get a bigger break then when they are under age 2 hehe.
