My Story

Hello! My name is Melissa and I’m 43 years old. I was diagnosed with high blood pressure in 2001. It was 145/90. But I felt all right. But as time passed terrible headaches began troubling me. And sometimes I had a feeling that I was not 40, but 80.
A few years ago my husband was on business in China. When he returned he brought me a little device called bio-electric apparatus. Said that Chinese use it to cure such diseases as hypertension. At first I was very skeptical and did not feel much enthusiasm… But it was written in the manual that there are no side effects, so I thought – why not? - this is not pills – no harm to my stomach or any other organ.
I started using it regularly – like it was written in the manual, and soon I started to feel better, much better. Of course there was no miraculous healing in one day, but finally I obtained a sound sleep and got rid of those annoying pains.

Success Stories... 2 For 1
Posted: 03-28-07 04:06am

Hi there,

My name is David and I'd like to share my story. I've always been fit and active so I was shocked when I found out I had high blood pressure in my mid 40s. I'm a pretty calm guy and my bp was always low low low. So at first I figured it was just temporary stress and I'd be back to normal soon.

I didn't think about it much but the next time I had it checked it was even higher. I started getting seriously worried now and I improved my lifestyle even more and started trying different natural remedies.

Nothing worked. I was getting into the real danger zone but I wouldn't take drugs except as a last resort. I'm not anti-medicine by any means but I've seen the side effects of blood pressure drugs up close and I was determined to do it naturally.

Having said that, I was getting close to giving in to the medical route. I'm sure this may sound familiar to other hypertension sufferers but I started feeling pains in my chest at night and it really affected my whole life. I realize the pains could have been my imagination but who knows? I was getting scared.

Finally one day I was watching a morning chat show on TV and I saw a new blood pressure device demonstrated that used slow breathing. It was called a breakthrough and it sure looked interesting. Being the kind of guy I am I refused to buy the expensive equipment (way overpriced!) and I got on the net and figured out a better way to do it myself. It took a lot of research but in the end the technique is really simple.

I felt better immediately and started seeing real results in two weeks. In seven weeks my bp was back in normal range and I've kept it there ever since with only rare spikes. I do my own slow breathing with music for 15 minutes a day.

That's nothing. I have a 74 year old friend who was taking drugs for hypertension for over 20 years. His bp was in the crisis stage where he was really afraid for his life when he discovered slow breathing in a similar way as I did. Also, in just a matter of weeks he dropped his bp to normal and he's given up his medications. He writes a blog on his experiences at http://ochils.blogspot.com/

Anyone interested can try slow breathing, or even learn it on their own, with free instructions and an online demo at http://www. control-your-blood-pressure.com/demo.html< /a>

I can't imagine why anyone would not want to try this. It doesn't have a single downside and in addition to lowering bp it relaxes, reduces stress and can even improve sleep.

I have had high blood pressure for years. The doctors first started commenting on it when I was about 16. They didn't think much about it. Just a simple "you bp is a little elavated today." When I was 18 I started seeing a different doctor. As he was doing all the basics he mentioned the same thing. I commented "they say that every time". I was seeing him for headaches. He quickly scanned my records and looked at me like I had just turned purple. He said. "Sweetie, you have hypertension. That is were your headaches are coming from." I thought he was a quack. What 18 year old has high blood pressur? He gave me a prescription to try. After that when I would get headaches I would take my bp and to my surprise it was usually between 160/120 to 175-125. I was shocked. We finally found a medicine that works for me and I don't have side effects with. It is called Zanaflex. It is also a sleep aid and muscle relaxer. I'm 20 now so it only took 2years to find the correct one. Rolling Eyes And we are now working to see why I have it in the first place. (evidentally someone my age shouldn't have that without there being an underlying problem). But my headaches are better. If you are open to medication it may take a while to find the correct one. But its out there somewhere!

Medical Device For Hbp
Posted: 05-03-07 10:39am

David,
I feel the way you do. I am a 30 year old female and have been newly diagnosed with HBP. This certaintly came as a shock to me as well. I'm very fit and do not smoke or drink. I do think my job is stressfull, customer service rep at an insurance company, but I never expected it to give me HBP!!! I refuse to take medication too. I've been looking online for natural ways to lower BP. I beleive I know this expensive device that you are talking about. I'm actually thinking of ordering it!!! I called & spoke to a rep at the company that say it's "effortless" breathing. You are being guided by musical tones for 15 minutes. They say you will see sustained results in about 3 weeks of regular use! I am REALLY tempted to buy this! As I just found out I am pregnant and DO NOT want to be put on medication!!!!
What do you think???

Yes, but that is still a pill that I would need to put into my body! I don't want to do that! There has to be another natural way! Anyone know anything about these "breathing" techniques I see to lower your blood pressure???

This pill is 100% natural, it is made of vitamins. I take a lot of vitamins and they can only help you. I never heard from anyone that vitamins hurt except from some doctors who want to sell medications.
If this is true then I would go for it and try. I dont think there is a magic music or instrument which can lower BP. Definitely, it might help for stress which would somewhat lower BP.

David
Very interesting, what you wrote about slowing your breathing.
I came across a device on Dr. Weill's site called the Resperator. It's something you hook up to and it helps you control your breathing. The difference between that and the product you mentioned is that it costs alot more!! I wanted to get one for my husband but he said he wants to talk to real people who have succeeded with it before speding money on something.
Thanks for your input.

Lynn,
I know exactly what you're talking about. This is so exciting. I too discovered the resperate. Being pregnant, I refuse to take pills, so I've actually purchased this device. I have to say so far it's one of my better investments!

Sorry girl but if you are pregnant and have HBP and not taking medication, well, I hope everything goes OK with the baby. Remember you will be sharing circulation with another human being who you can harm or cause death to by you having HBP and left untreated. I hate taking one single pill a day I have HBP too), I just hate it, but I work in a hospital with premature babies and the maternity ward and I see a lot of stuff from many patients not caring during pregnancy.................not even taking Prenatal vitamins when supposed to make some things change (for the worse...)during baby's growing and birth.

My Success Story
Posted: 01-03-08 04:49am

I was diagnosed with high blood pressure about a year ago,and my doctor recommended Cardura* as a medication. This very quickly got my pressure to normal but I did not want to remain permanently dependant on medication.I like to travel regularly to remote areas-what if I was stuck in a place where Cardura is unobtainable? So,I started looking for ways to augment the Cardura,or work on the causes of the hypertension to reduce my dependance in the long run.
So,as well as reducing my sodium intake, increasing my water intake, and cutting down my hours at work and getting more sleep,I found out some yoga stress-cutting techniques on the internet(check out osho.com)and relaxation techniques. This has worked brilliantly over the months, and I even feel more contented and energetic. I still buy Cardura as a back up,and for the many occasions when I am too short of time to do all the relaxation techniques, but I am very happy with the combination approach and can recommend it.
