ok..
I have a friend, who, always constantly sleeps around with a bunch of different guys. She goes from one to another like purses and wallets.

Well shes also always getting std's and such from guys.. once she gets rid of one she gets the same one again or another one.

She just cant seem to stop. SHe meets a guy that she thinks is *incredibly hot* and pretty much immediately sleeps with him, clings to him like static to polyester. Starts saying *i love you* almost immediately.

Then shortly thereafter gets screwed over by said guy and he stops calling her. (possible becuase he saw how co-dependant she is?)

Then complains to me and my friends about how she doesnt understand why things like that happen to her, why she keeps getting these infections, and why she always seems to *pick the wrong guys.*

H.e.l.p! What should i tell her? She doesnt listen to anything me and my friends have to say... if its not what she wants to hear, she gets furious and defensive and acts like im out to ruin her life.

eh... that doesn't sound like the lifestyle i want, i can't imagine.

i don't know what i'd tell her, probably that she needs to be alone for a while, i don't understand people who constantly need someone!

& ask her why she never uses condoms? If she's sleeping around with a bunch of different guys then what is she doing not using birth control? (I guess unless she's on the pill or something) which in her case doesn't really matter if she keeps getting std's.

Rolling Eyes that sucks that she won't listen to you, good luck with that one.

So this friend you are talking about.....IS it me? because if it is, i am going to start listening to you and taking your advice....

Are my phone calls to you this bad? Are you totally sick and tired of me? Am i a promiscuous person now? So condoms are a good thing even on b/c?

please tell me if i am the 'friend' Confused

One of my very best friends used to be like this.

After two years, I told her flat-out that I loved her, she could come to me with anything else, but I didn't want to hear about her sex life/romantic life anymore if she wasn't going to learn from her mistakes and take my advice when she asks for it.

I supported my friend, but not her actions. I made it clear without being nasty about it. She's happily married now and we're still best friends.

If you try tough love, you run a big risk of the whole friendship falling apart. Honestly .sandra, I would just let her know how you felt, and ask her to please not mention it again to you unless/until she cares to follow your advice or start being smart about safe sex.
