I have been told by different people that
if the heart beat is a little fast, the
child is a boy, and if it's slow it's a
girl; but, I have also heard the opposite.
Is there actually a way to know whether or
not it's going to be a boy or a girl
before the ultrasound that shows?

There's no way to determine the sex of the
baby based on the heartbeat. Only an
ultrasound can determine this, and even
then it's not 100%.

when i was at the Dr the last time he told
me before i even said anything that the
heartbeat does not determine anything! and
the rate after 12 weeks is all depending
on what the baby is doing at the time you
are reading it. but it would be cool if
you could know that way!
