I've never worked there. I imagine they probably have a high turnover rate, because everyone and their brother goes to .walmart and a lot of those people are rude. But you get to wear your own clothes instead of a uniform, so that's a plus.

Don't you have a job already? Or am I thinking of someone else? Confused

Yeah I have a job but it's factory/warehouse work & .I'm hating it so much. I'd like to get a job where I can work with people & kinda take advantage of my little break from home if that makes any sense at all.. .I'd like to get a medical office assistant job but I don't have any experience so I doubt I could do that Confused

I worked at Walmart for like 4 months. It sucked @ss. I mean the pay isn't too bad, but people are rude as hell. They treat you like you are their slave because they are a customer.

i would never work at walmart. they only pay minimum wage and they dont let many people work full time, because they dont want to give benefits. walmart has been in the news for its poor work ethics.

Actually they pay above minimum wage, and a lot of people work full time. At least at the one I worked at. The b*tched at me all the time because I was supposed to be full time, but I wasn't working enough hours.

My husband and both of my brother in laws have worked there full time for at least 7 years (my husband doesn't work there now though). They think it is fine and they say that if you hang in there you get pretty good pay raises. You don't get overtime so that is what bugs them but other than that no complaints. They say management makes all the difference.

Just remember that anywhere you work retail you are going to be dealing with annoying complaining people. It makes allot nicer when you go shopping though Very

my mum works at walmart in the tire lube part (working on cars and stuff)

itsnot that bad, but its not good either, the pay is ok, and the benefits are good, but depending on your walmart it could really suck, some are very sexist and practically refuse to give women raises and promotions (my mums worked there are almost 7 years and she is one of the most qualified people they have but they still wont promote her, she is one of the only ones who does what shes supose to do) and a lot are getting very strict and uncaring, they make you call a 1800 number or wahtever when your sick or need off and you have to give them your reason then call your store and tell them then go and give them a doctors note, and if you miss too many days they health forum you out, its like school all over again

oh and i think the worst part is if you have a bad manager they are really mean and will write you up for anything, my mum got written up and now she cant transfer to a new closer walmart for 6 monthes because she had overtime...her manager asked her to come in on her day off, its not her fault, bleh whatever

so i guess the point of that is it depends on the managment at the walmart your looking at applying at, it can be good or bad
